    Can Macros be fixed?

As a PS4 Player Macros are a lifesaver; however, there are many times when for example you macro an ability like cleric stance and the Macro is unable to successfully execute a line for whatever reason yet it jumps to the next line messing you up. Can it function in a way that it must execute all lines to be able to activate the macro. I can't count how many times my cleric stance has been messed up due to a simple casting while executing macro. Or atleast don't allow the changeset command until the action executes.

I think that's probably by design. SE don't want players automating their gameplay.

Curious as to how/why you have Cleric Stance in a macro though? What else is in that macro if I might ask?

It's just a simple ON/OFF switch that switches your hotbar automatically its designed to make getting into your skills DPS/Healing much more simply.

What exactly are you macroing to begin with?

Also, macros have always ran line by line, so long ones can take a bit.

On the DPS hotbar, put the Real action for Cleric Stance. On the healing oriented hotbar, put only

    /chotbar change #
    /macroicon "Cleric Stance"

This is a gateway macro. It's one way to use a macro without suffering queue issues. You could do the same for your basic healing skills. With the Extended hotbar I do not have this setup on AST/WHM, but SCH uses 5 hotbars + Extended, so gateway macros are super useful. Just dont burden yourself with unnecessary macroing.

If we could macro Items, that would be great.

    /ac "Second Wind"
    /use "Mega-Potion"
    /macroicon "Second Wind"
    /recast "Mega-Potion" Item

Would be sooooo glorious for every DPS. Lines would be repeated for psuedo-queue, if it was implemented.

Have you used the <wait.n> ability? That will ensure that the line is not skipped due to latency issues.

The issue with the cleric stance macro is generally that you tried to use a skill too soon after using the macro. Cleric stance also has a cooldown, so if you panic and try to remove it too quickly, you can get out of sync with your hotbar. You can try /macrolock, but from what I remember, it has some other annoying behavior with the hotbar swap macro. I just got used to checking if cleric stance was toggled correctly, and if not, manually changing my hotbar with R1. Now, I switched to using the WXHB instead, which comes with its own problems..

I use them to replace skills because ALL hotbars are full, there is no way for a simple hotbar switch. (My UI design is complex)
It doesnt matter why you use more complex macros, fact is indeed, that they sometimes are broken and then its totally messed up!

AoE placement, some Skills work, some not...
wait timer and cooldown from skills are messed up since spellspeed or skillspeed...

Since 1.0 i am using macros, but since 2.0 i just had problems with them!
Thats why i dont use them any more, its no fun and useless most of the time because totally messed up timings... you just cant rely on them any more!
Since 3.0 I just see players using them for Chat "pictures" or "sound"...
