Are people just more reckless in palace of the dead?

Compared to my other DF shenanigans, POTD seems to attract people that think they can just do whatever they want and ignore how the dungeon works. While you can easily just goof off in the early floors due to how easy they are, I had groups where people had that same mindset near floor 100 and it's always the same thing every time:

-Running ahead and pulling all the monsters
-Splitting up from the group and biting more than they can chew
    -Wasting podmanders
-Using the Rage podmander and charging into a room that has two dozen monsters and expects to kill them all
-Stepping on traps after they were made visible

Heck, this is happening in my runs to go to floor 200. I had groups where people done all the above and no matter how much I told them to stay together and not pull more than we need, they rarely listened. I talked about this with a friend and he said he had a similar run where a friend of his intentionally stepped on every trap because he wanted to fight and kill more things. Doesn't anyone understand that wiping after getting beyond floor 100 sets you back many hours? I don't have that kind of time to burn.

    Any stories to share?

I've pugged plenty of potd, most groups seem co-operative to me (might just be a different server). Yes, now and then someone makes a mistake like using a pomander again, but it's hardly earth shattering. Funniest thing I saw was one of those rooms with 20+ mobs, no need to go near it, and a brd used a LB on it and they all went nuts lol. It was a wipe, sure, but I'm still laughing about it now.

I like the guy that kept turning and knocking back the mobs into me (I'm a Bard) but luckily my aether is 98/99 so not much hurts me in the -100 floors. I have a floor 100 save but have no FC so I have not dared to pug 101+. My biggest annoyances that happen often are people that pull a whole room, take off on their own and die and open chests next to the group blowing 3/4 of our health away...just stupidity.

The reason this seems to occur (on floor 50-100 at least) in my experience is simply due to there being so little threat in lower levels of PotD. The enemies hit like wet noodles with the resilience of a piece of paper, and this become more and more pronounced as aetherpool gear rises. I know in many of the runs I've done, sometimes I just completely throw caution to the wind because there's not much to be afraid of besides chest / trap explosions. This attitude probably follows into floors 100+ simply due to underestimating how dangerous it can be.

    Pomander...

And no, people aren't more reckless in potd than they are anywhere else. The people who trigger chestplosions in the middle of a spawn trap in potd are the same people that run away from the group when targeted with a stack indicator or run to the party when marked with a prey type indicator in other content. It's the same mentality of not paying attention/not caring simply applied in a different mode of content. The same people who tunnel vision bosses and wipe the raid because they ignore mechanics are the ones that do the same in potd.

There's also the fact that as long as your weapon/gear levels are appropriate or above what is needed for the floorset that it's near impossible to fully wipe without it being the intent. One/two people with overcapped gear can carry a group through the 91-100 floors without much effort. PotD is zone out content for most of the people in there pre-101+ floors it would seem.

As Scholar with decent aetherpool, I can handle a lure all by myself. If we have a witching pomander and a sight/safety to avoid traps, I can pull entire floors and AoE them down.

The only wipe I had in the last [too many] runs was because someone noticed me mass pulling and tried to help - except he pulled multiple bombs into the group. We didn't AoE those down before they exploded, unfortunately ._.

While being a tank with three dps who all deal less damage than I do, I get worried.

With four dps in later floors, I get worried.

Otherwise I just try not to take unnecessary damage by going to a chest someone else is already going to, make sure to clear traps for the group, etc., but more for efficiency than any sense of caution.

That said, I'm pretty sure one of my groups assumed I was either high or dgaf due to my running constant circles around those guys who cast Dark, in order not to take any spell damage (since they don't track quickly enough to catch anyone already in movement). This was one of the groups that I only needed Grit for the self-healing, because things would take too long to die, normally, so when I saw an opportunity not to take damage, I took the opportunity. They responded with a single "..." and kicked immediately.
