    Christ man so many people are stuck in this FFXI state. People will not shut up if every job is not exactly how it was in FFXI. "Omg BLM doesnt have all the elemental skills" SO? We're still able to add them to our class...People just really need to get out of this FFXI state of mind and just play the damn game

    "OMG WTF BBQ Monk isnt pure damage, what is this element attack BS? I WANT DPS ONRY"

    "Combos??? That wasnt in ffxi, this game will fail, combos are fail, this game totally blows!"

    "What? DRG doesnt have a dragon pet??? Nooooooooo now DRG will suck because if he doesnt have a pet, he just simply isnt good!"

    "BLM Can't use Shock or Choke? AHHHHHHHHHHHH Now my BLM is completely useless bc i cant use my 50 total dmg DoT."
    God forbid they add another mage they uses DoTs as a main source of damage along with slow haste etc

    Sad part is, these are some of the things i've heard said

    I agree with this everytime someone complains it feels like they are trying to make X class like XI. They need to get over it, XI first game really when blm had earth and wind spells and i hope it stays that way.

    Not a core FF title but even in chocobo's dungeon the gameplay was solo-only but still just the WHM OR BLM classes offered balanced options for combat. It's not that it can't be done the fixes are just too small tweaks to carve out any class identity.

    So, WHM could've gotten Holy and. . . well, that's about it. People are complaining enough that CNJ only gets two DD spells to level with. Could you imagine if they only had Holy?

    That notwithstanding, my point in the post you quoted was that the only consistent elements for BLM are Fire/Ice/Lightning. Water and Quake are each present in about 1/3 games. Aero is even more rare. I never once believed that one class would get all six elements; there simply isn't enough room within the fifteen-ability paradigm they've adopted. Why not give the class that leads to WHM the elements that BLM uses least?

    Good god you whine so much.

    First of all, they haven't even released the Job Trait list for Classes and Jobs. BLM will more than likely get some kind of Attack Magic Potency bonus and SE will no doubt make magic DPS more noticeable otherwise THM/BLM will be useless.

    Second, the WHM mega nuke(Holy) you're so jealous about could be weaker than most of THM/BLM's spells and it's more than likely going to have a good recast timer on it. It doesn't sound likely WHM's can just spam it and It's pretty much expected that WHM spell damage won't be as high as a BLM.

    Holy is pretty much expected to be a spell for White Mages. I'd be surprised if White Mages didn't get Holy seeing as it's usually the ONLY offensive spell they learn and it's usually one of the last. And you do realize we're basically getting new spells with different/added effects. Who's to say the last BLM spells(Flare/Meteor and Freeze) won't surpass Shadowseer? And with the removal of tiers, spells are going to get stronger as you progress in level as well.

    I realize you don't like to heal and you're afraid CNJ/WHM will be better than THM/BLM, but let's be realistic. WHM won't surpass BLM in spell damage. WHM's are known for healing, BLM's are known for attack magic. Stop worrying and getting jealous just because another class/job has a shiny spell that'll turn out to be some low-damage, long recast, waste of MP spell.

    And by the way, THM/BLM has it's own "Self AoE damage and bind spell":

    "THM Mag. 4 Self AoE Deals ice damage to all enemies within range. Chance to inflict Bind."
    most likely Blizzara/Blizzaga

    And it doesn't consume all your MP :P

    Exactly.
    Just wait and see how it is and try it out before we all start complaining before the patch even arrives. Otherwise it's just a big mess of angry assumptions.
