Hi there!
Given all these posts about how "so many feast players are toxic" and the divide on how people feel like they should be treated, I think this is a good time to actually explain why people behave the way they do. It won't take long, I'll condense it.
I've broken it down into 3 types of people in Feast. It's important to remember this is **actual theory**. Look up Bartle Taxonomy if you want more information.
These 3 types of players with relevance to Feast/multiplayer MOBA's are:
1) The Achievers (wanting perfect progress, best gear and all items etc...)
2) The Killers (causing some kind of mayhem, for the sake of enjoying themselves)
3) The Socialisers (objective to win does not come first, prefers getting to know players)
I'll be focusing on 1 and 2. 3 is more relevant in Frontlines. It's also important to remember all players want some kind of progress, not just achievers. They just feel their end goal is different - a killer for his own satisfaction and a socialiaser for popularity... etc etc.
It's important to remember, you can have both good and bad players in each category. Good Killers, such as a very strong DPS you might know that can guide a team to victory... or a Bad Killer, like those toxic DPS that complain but are the problem nothing is dying, ruining team morale.
So what happens when a Bad Killer (Tank/DPS) and a Bad Achiever (Healer/Tank/DPS) are put in the same party? The bad killer will not be able to contribute enough dps and blame the team, meanwhile the bad achiever just doesnt have good enough of an understanding how to actually play Feast or his job - but he'll keep queuing anyway because he wants that Top 100 mount. Obviously, insults will be thrown because there's a clash in execution.
It's because of this, Premade Feast matches are either very easy or very hard, there's no inbetween because people are there to either "have fun" or "get to the top". Same can be applied in DF; you'll see some people stand around typing in FC chat most of the dungeon while some others are pulling the highest numbers they can in their gear.
So, to keep this short... How does this get resolved?
Simple. The reason this is an issue at the moment is because there is no "Casual" 4v4 Feast, it's just one "Ranked" mode. All the players get lumped into one queue, regardless of experience in roles and understanding of the game mode.
There's no preseason for people to let loose and have fun. There's no practice 4v4 mode. It's just 1 queue - Ranked Feast. Before anyone says it - no, 8v8 doesn't give anyone a good understanding of 4v4 although it does help.
End Note
Right now, there's only one "rationally acceptable" way of playing Ranked Feast. That's to educate yourself before you step into Feast (plenty of guides about) and understand how to play your role. If everybody thought this way and wasn't lazy about wanting some sort of "shortcut" to their rewards, Feast would be a lot more healthy. Also, SE need to implement preseasons or a casual mode to cater to split these types of players.
Maybe this is all BS and everybody is toxic and so bad there's nothing you can do in your matches. If you feel that way - you're probably the issue. If you put your best foot forward and educate yourself on the game mode, you'll make it where you wanna go. Simple as that.
Edit-
Man I was so drunk when I wrote this my mate was telling me about his college degree etc etc. I dunno why this got so much attention. ggwp.
