Jobs like White Mage and Black Mage have their own focus (focuses being Healing and dealing massive damge). Take bard for example, it gets a TON of buffs because that is it's focus traditionally - buffing. I personally would prefer them to add a class down the road who's role is debuffing, as you mentioned in your other thread. Kind of like how Red Mage in FFXI had all of the tier 2 debuffs.

Lucifer, please re-read the text you keep quoting. As you say, it is quite clear. It says that debuffs are being put on the back burner until after version 2.0 is released. Let's read it again:

Also, there are no paralyze/poison/silence/absorb/slow and there aren't any plans to implement them before the launch of version 2.0. However, as we move forward, if it becomes absolutely necessary to utilize them, we will look into it.
Notice the word "before." I have no plans of further explaining their use of this word before I go home (however, I fully intend to explain again after I get home, as I fear you will still not get it).

Additionally, your issue is that you are losing what you consider a THM to be. It is your loss of identity that you are seemingly upset about, not the overall effect on the game. You see yourself as an excellent debuffer, and you are losing that ability after the patch. You are left with a few choices to address this challenge: You can adjust and become an excellent nuker, you can switch classes into something that you feel would give you back your identity, or you can quit the game until they release a class that has an ability list which you feel suits your identity. Whichever choice you make, the majority of the community will be playing a much more satisfying game.

Can you please stop with the slippery slopes? Besides, if I finished leveling MRD, my PGL could easily pull off a combo in game right now that would heal me for more than 300 damage while doing 600 or more damage and lowering the enemy's attack power.

Patch 1.21 *Abolished healing role in favor of a more modern play style.

In your opinion, yes? In my opinion, it will be simplified to the point it will resemble other games and not be very satisfying.
Two different ends of the spectrum.

As far as I'm concerned, the use of before is stating how the spells will not be seen for a whole year. That is quite some time. A whole year of adjusting to a different game. Then, in one years time, they will add debuff spells. I don't know how I feel about that. Wouldn't you have to mold the game around these changes beforehand?

Lucifer, it's ok to say, "I may be wrong about this whole thing. I'm just upset about the changes to the class I like." It is not necessary to use words without knowing the definition, then back-pedal when it is pointed out. You don't have to hypothesize hyperbolically about future changes. I think we all understand that you are not happy with the changes, but that doesn't mean the changes are bad.

I understand that you are being a bit tongue in cheek here, but I think it illustrates that you don't fully understand the intent of the changes. I would encourage you to calm down a bit and give the new system a try, because I think that you have the wrong impression of how it is designed to work... either all of this or you are seriously grasping for straws.
