Better to not input on PVP matters for various reasons. Also on topic since requested, next live letter should enlighten us about this decision.

Maybe it's just a numbers thing with the chat. Maybe they are just tired of the reports for harassment and feel like removing chat will make the harassment numbers look better in some report for some investor. I don't know. PvP will always be largely ignored in this game. IMO SE has no idea how to make competitive pvp content. Like with the grand company requirement. We let them know in the first week that it was a bad idea. 3 years later the change. I honestly think it was because removing the restriction contradicted the story and SE is all about the story.

Not quite. In an interview not too long ago, Yoshi P clarified that the reasons for keeping/removing it were not story or lore based, and that his concerns lay with the potential problems that might arise after removing the restriction, mostly ones of a moral nature.

They removed restriction cause 4.0 will get us a "big pvp update" where fc restriction wouldn't work.

Isn't PVP getting all new gearsets and most likely 3 new mounts? Hardly a ignored community.

So is gold saucer. It's not about what people didn't ask for. They also skipped the pvp i235 gearset we should have gotten in a catch up patch anyways. This would be like telling raiders, "you guys are getting gordias again, don't complain". Even though the devs did something about the outcry from gordias.

jameseoakes, a big no, normaly it's all the 6 month but the 2 last set was for first ugly,
and we din't get the third set a 3.4.
So we get ugly pvp set 2 times since 3.0
So we are Hardly Ignored ...hopefully, we get the garo event.
I still seeing some pve players cry about it, i say: so just pvp or gold saucer and you will get it: and now the answer : but it's a pve game... and pvp is not fun.

It's weird, fates and faceroll dungeon is not what i call fun too.
The extreme trials and the raid is interesting but fates...
