Saying Thanks - Dungeon Communication - Returning to FFXIV

I returned to ffxiv after about 2 years, and wow, lots to do for Heavensward.

I wanted to say thanks to a few people, although I don't know their names, I'm sure many of you have been in these situations.

I recently leveled up a PLD and in a couple of dungeons I was struggling to keep agro, or do the right things at times, and a couple people were patient with that and let me do small pulls to be able to manage. So thanks to them.

Once I was struggling hard in a dungeon, and players took the time to explain each section and the 3 minutes they took probably saved 30 minutes. And even tho I was not typing long replies, I was taking everything to heart, trying to focus, I definitely wasn't being rude, and I really appreciate it, so thank you to them.

That's that. Now I'm at Snowcloak, which I hear is somewhat complex. So when I cue up, and land in your party, I'll let you know, and I appreciate in advanced the insight you provide and your patience.

This game, in general, has a great community that doesn't mind explaining things to people...which, in the MMO world, definitely is rare. I recently came back myself and everyone I have ran with in the duty finder has been great

Believe it or not ffxiv has one of the best communities compared to other MMOs.

Many people understand the value of a person trying to tank or coming back from a break. It's a big reason why I like doing leveling roulette and mentor roulette

I can only attest to this.
I try to make dungeons as fast as possible on my Laladin, but I really enjoy it when I ask for explanations and people properly explain things.

Always glad to see these sorts of posts! Glad you are enjoying your time back & have been meeting kind and helpful people.

This community is one of the better MMOs. There might be the standard whine/spam threads in general discussion you see other places but most of it is usually because people are excited about the game and not just being down on it like you see in some other places.

I'm more inclined to crack it up to things simply being on the easy side - if you dabble in higher end PvE or PvP, the community quickly becomes...uh...less than friendly and patient as well. The notion to disable the chat in Feast didn't come out of nowhere >_>

Plus, by that logic WoW should have and Wildstar should have had a good community as well - that goes against what people tell me about it.
