POD people wanting to speed run, then rage

Just ran some Palace of the Dead at level 50-60 floors as a tank, so while doing it, all i wanted to do was check the other rooms for silver chests because they increase aetherpool. So one of the pt members berated me saying we should do this fast and its just for xp. eventually he or she wanted to be kicked because im assuming he wanted a speed run for xp ( eventually all pt members left the group midst the argument). Is it wrong to search for the silver chest at this floor ? or any floor? I thought the point of POD was to upgrade to kinna weapons to level the aetherpool? I just dont want to be an apparent bad player if i'm wrong. thanks.

You're not a bad player at all, you just got stuck with an inconsiderate party. I almost always run everything with friends because when hit with random, you get different people with different goals. I run dungeons for exploration and soaking up lore, others want exp, and a lot want items. Doesn't matter the instance, it's still pretty widespread. Doesn't happen all the time, but it does still exist.

You are doing it fine. Search for chests and if your party members are normal they'll help you with that anyway.

Outright ruined my PotD experience for the first time. My friend was trying to explain it to me but this other guy was too busy going at Sanic speeds.

I've noticed a lot of PFs lately that have said "PoTD - exp only, NO CHESTS!" I've experienced similar runs via the "DF" & it is awful. It has become the new version of FATE levelling & most people running in that way seem to have barely a basic grasp of their class/job yet are already at level 60. I don't think SE thought through the impact of getting open world exp from PoTD.

This bound to happen with everything in this game, quick as possible. It happens with all content here, I am sorry that you had a bad experience but as the others said, nothing you did was wrong from your post that is. If it happens shrug it off and leave and do it again, don't take anything personal, that is the best advice I can give you imho!

Well you can skip rooms IF everyone is on +99 and if you are stacked with Pomander. But apart from that i don't see a reason to rush since the floors until 100 are going quick anyway.

Usually it's in pf, repeatedly run 50-60 so no need for any chests apart from those in the way. They prob couldn't find a 4th in pf and just jumped in df
