Archers are upset because they were expecting Ranger and got Bard instead. Should they be allowed to transfer their levels to another DD job because that's what they meant to level? (And to be honest, while people did seem to be a bit confused at first, Bard is being generally well received.)

Thaumaturges are upset because...well...some were expecting to be healers, some wanted to remain in god mode...but should they be allowed to transfer their levels to another mage job because they meant to level a healer?

Ignoring the fact that you should have multiple classes leveled to augment your main class (The whole point of the armory system), people should not have jumped to conclusions without solid proof that THM was going to become the healer.

Even if you couldn't tell which classes would be which job, you could have still drawn reasonable conclusions that Conjurer would have been White Mage (with Cure, Raise, Protect, Shell) or Black Mage (With Elemental spells) and that Thaumaturge could have been a Red Mage (with it's focus on enfeebles.) Nowhere in the spells did THM indicate any sort of "White Mage" quality except maybe Banish and Ressurect and MAYBE Sacrifice. And to be honest, Sacrifice has been a Blue Mage ability in the past more than WHM.

The OP is asking for compensation because he leveled a class that didn't end up being the class he wanted it to be. Despite the understanding the game was changing, class balancing was coming up and evidence ranging from minor to obvious that THM would not be the White Mage class.
