doesnt anyone have a 50 blacksmith?

just saying... i've been looking for a 50 blacksmith for 3 days now and nobodys replied, do we just not have any blacksmiths except that damn xakk on this surver?

on a side note, if any 50 blacksmiths are reading this, contact me in game so i can finally get some axes made >.<

Per ffxiv pro, there are 191 other level 50 blacksmiths on Trabia.

I don't know if you had tried shouting in ul'dah? I've seen your shouts in LL. Not terribly effective.

I saw him shouting in Ul'dah last night before I went to bed. As posted there are a lot of blacksmiths on Trabia, however there could be many reasons as to why you cannot get one to help you (such as laziness, they're doing other things, they
re afk, etc)

As a level 50 BSM, here's why I don't respond to shouts in town (I'm generalizing here, you might be a much nicer person, but here's my experience):

1. Your rewards are not worth my time.
2. You have unrealistic expectations about how much time synthing takes.
3. You don't tip for HQ
4. You ask me to double meld your gear, and when it breaks you complain.
5. You ask me to double meld your gear, and when it breaks you want me to do more crafting/melding to replace it.

If you wanted to get my attention, you'd be very specific with your shout, something like "50 BSM needed for a two-part synth and one meld. 100k reward". That way the expectations are clear and I wouldn't be afraid that you'd take advantage of me.

Charging when they have the materials and tipping for HQ is not required by me. If it HQs with NQ materials and it's a high level synth that is just your luck. It's tacky to expect a tip with something that just happens to have popped as a +1.

and btw, I made those items Orc wanted last night. I don't need to make others pay out for something that doesn't take much time out of my day. Also, I'm rich with gil and the feeling of doing something nice for someone.
