Clearly alt. jobs should level up along with your main job, so after completing MSQ journey - you'd have all jobs at level cap, and all new jobs would get boosted to your highest level job once you unlock them.

Nice idea but it's a half measure, as a special snowflake I think what should happen is once I've got my first job to 60 then every other class should automatically hit 60 and be geared up to the maximun ilevel available at that time. I should also get 50 invulnerability potions which last for 2 hours each so I can get used to new content without being "that guy" while I work out all the new rotations and stuff. I should also get a new house and 5 million gil to spend on furnishings. Any complaints of this system would clearly be the Patriarchy at work, invading my safe space and forcing me to actually play the game and my classes which is clearly oppressive. Anyone who doesn't agree is clearly noobphobic and should lose their job in real life and be shamed on national TV as Hitler.

I'd love to talk more on the oppressive Nazism of veteran players but I have some feminist snow ploughing to do.

On a more serious note, PotD took leveling and made it about as easy as it's ever going to get. If that's not enough then.... wow.

I got all my classes to 60 just from random challenge log entries and roulettes. That was also without hardcore grinding.

Leveling in XIV is by far one of the fastest I've ever seen in an mmo. The only other being Jade Dynasty where you had an auto grind button and there was no exp diminish between certain levels (a lv80 could take a lv 5 for an afk killing spree), and Wonderland which had with an incredibly broken exp exploit.

The dungeons are perfectly spaced out where you can get 1-3 levels depending on how many enemies you bother killing and move on to the next. If you're a slight bit off, speed running collectathon leves without fighting mobs will get you where you need to be. Now, field classes like Fishing I can see wanting more of a boost. Still, Food+friendship feather(if you got it anyways)+FC buff+exp ring= exp+bonus%

Though I do agree, it is boring. Fast, but boooooring.

Not only has dungeon exp been boosted significantly, there's FATEs and PotD which also just bleed exp.
Plus 2x exp for levels 1-50 and 1.5x exp for 51-60, assuming you're not on your first class here.
For gathering and crafting there is daily GC turn-ins, beast tribe quests, workshop items, Collectables, and levequests.

Levelling is, by far, the least time consuming part of playing this game. It's no longer a grand affair when someone levels up, and that's pretty sad!

The first job you level up takes more time, but the other jobs take less time, I think the other jobs are 25% or 50% faster than the first. Also, it depend of guilds because some like ours put actions like 10% more XP for battle class or more XP for gatherers/crafters.

I don't know. I got all classes (including Craft an Gathering ones) to 60 like 1-2 month or so after Heavensward release. And no, I don't play 24/7. Once you level 1 class to 60 you will have extra EXp. Using FC actions, food, logging off in Sanctuary areas and that, you can get is very easy. Few days per class. And now I think is even easier from 1 to 50 thansk to the exp boost in dungeons bosses. And the PotD.

Game launches, people complain it takes too much time and it's too hard. Game's nerfed down and xp gets a boost.
People complain again it's too hard and takes too much time to lvl up. Game gets more nerfs in dungeons and more boost in xp.
People still complain game is too hard. Game becomes easy to the point of boredom and you can faceroll dungeons ignoring most of the mechanics. Old dungeons getting nerfed again and new ones are so easy my blind cat can clear them. Game introduces PoTD as an alternative easier and faster way to lvl up for those who still find regular dungeons too hard and too much time consuming.
People complain game is too casual and too easy.

I barely grinded any dungeons for a prolonged period of time and I have all my classes at 60, levelling now is super fast. Levelling via Palace of the Dead and general roulettes gets you up at a solid pace, assuming you do all roulettes that can give you EXP every day, you should be done in less than 2 weeks, even less with some Palace and one or two extra dungeon runs.

Hardly a slog, unlike the old Heavensward 50-60 for your first class.
