Please increase maximum PvP rank to 60

As we are nearing Heavensward end, it'd be nice to add another incentive to que pvp in long months before Stormblood. Rank 60 will match lv60 cap of HW and will allow more builds variety with an option to upgrade up to 15 pvp skills, including those which are usually ignored like 'Increased main stat', which also should be buffed to accomodate new level cap.
The controversial ranked Feast minions can be tied to a new 'reach rank 60 within all Grand Companies' achievement, which will keep Frontlines alive for a long time. No doubt it'll be grindy, but as they will not be time locked anymore and can be obtained anytime with enough efforts there shouldn't be as much complaints.

Would also be nice if they can make PVP rank actually do something other than gimp new players who aren't maxed rank in terms of not being able to wield the maximum potencies of said PVP abilities.

I liked the aspect of rank wherein it restricted certain rewards. The skill/points system has no place at all with how grossly powerful it is for some jobs.

So...some quick math on the minion suggestion:

Reaching rank 50 in one grand company takes around 377 frontline "wins" (Not counting Roulette or challenge log boni)
So let's generously say 350 "games" per GC.
Times three means 1050 games. That's only rank 50 and only frontline. A rank 60 would likely double that number.

I know by now you guys are a little disconnected from reality, but do you honestly think putting a carrot behind a mountain in the neighboring country is going to make the mule you're sitting on go anywhere...? Do you really, truly think this would have any noteworthy impact on frontline queues?

Before you suggest incentives and rewards, please educate yourself on google scholar how these things work. Because they do not work the way you think they work.
Then you might also realize why the additional 10 ranks would be no meaningful incentive either.

Considering the backlash SE suffered when they tried to gate the minions behind feast ranking and the sheer amount of new players that flooded into feast this season just for that stupid mount that ppl will care about for all of a week maybe (if that) it's not so farfetched to think a minion locked behind max rank would encourage some to pvp. It doeant mean its gonna single handedly make queues avg 5 min but it would have some effect regardless. Not that I'm advocating for them to do this anyway, my point was more that the pvp skills being tied to rank should be abolished. Now that they are getting rid of GC requirements in frontline and have stated they have some potentially big plans for pvp in expansion the talk and concerns about queues will likely be muted for a while in light of this news.

The reality is you don't know what is FFXIV PvP grind, and my proposition fits right in. There is an ADS mount, for example, which requires 200 Frontline wins for one GC. As you don't win every game, you'll need 600-700 matches for that mount, and you can get get a pony and white ADS in progress. But for remaining GC-exclusive mounts you need to switch GC and repeat. There's a mount for 200 The Feast wins as well. There are 5 titles for every role for 1000 wins on each (healer, tank, ranged, mage, melee), but let's not go to extremes. Just grinding frontline mounts will already give you very high PvP rank. But when you reach rank 50, all your XP will go to waste. What I suggest is for pvp character progression to continue after 50, wether you need it or not is up to you. I know pvpers will get it just by playing naturally, there's nothing disconnected from reality, just like my three rank 50s for all three GCs.

I'd rather them leave it as is until 4.0 and revamp PvP entirely by then.

Ranks and PvP actions do not work with the Feast system. If PvP Rank is supposed to be a barrier to entry, don't let new people queue ranked. Otherwise, give everyone an even playing field and enable the full PvP kit.

The GC removal alone will help PvP queues in terms of FL. If that doesn't work nothing will outside of a new carrot (glam mount, pet).

While I do like the idea of having customizable 'builds' you can choose from, and the idea of adding in another long-term goal for veteran PvP players, the system as it is needs to be overhauled.

Players entering the Feast should all be entering with an even playing field where they aren't disadvantaged by ilvl or PvP rank. To that end, I think all players entering the Feast should receive full buffs to all PvP abilities when they enter and should not have the option to create custom "builds". That or everyone entering gets the same amount of Rank Points they can distribute at the beginning of the match (probably a bad idea as half of the people entering haven't figured out how to put PvP abilities on their hotbar, let alone assign ability points to them).

Many of the PvP abilities need to be tweaked/reworked. Having customizable builds doesn't work that well when a lot of the choices are really, really, really bad. The Attribute bonuses are near worthless at level 60. Several skills/upgrades are also similarly hilariously bad (see Aetheric Burst. A 50% Skill Speed reduction sounds good until you realize that it only takes off about .02 secs off the GCD since no one bothers using skill speed).

I think in the end what might work best is if the 'upgrade' system was implemented solely for Frontlines (and make the upgrade system such that there are actual choices to make) along with maybe some sort of glamour rewards at certain rank intervals. A GC specific 'soldier' outfit at PvP Rank 30, 'commander' outfit at Rank 50, 'General' outfit at Rank 60 (or w/e new cap they implement). They also might want to consider tweaking down the grind curve from around 20-50 if they do decide to implement new GC levels, as by the time you get to 40+ the majority of your experience typically comes from getting your Challenge Logs done (which grant 50% of your level and scale with each level) as opposed to playing matches.

reward is a carrot for everything in this game, but shatter still not popular and seriously without the ads sphere i would not play it all, because of the crystal pve.
but the reward itself don't garantee long therm queue. because when players have the reward they don't queue again.
The reward make the instance queueing faster for 1 month or 2.

It's not that different from pve, If there was not loot in normal alexander for exemple , players would do it one time only.
But there not miracle, imagine SE add a minion in shatter and some gears to buy with marks, it will make players queueing like crazy for a month or 2 and that'all, but maybe it's better than nothing.
