I sincerely hope you do not disable the chat functions in PvP, having limited macros to communicate is just not good enough. In addition if this move is to combat toxic player mentality spend the development time on adding right click report harassment to the chat right click report command list.

Additionally, I know that I've seen a lot of toxicity in Ranked Solo Feast with brand new PvP players selecting that game mode to start playing PvP. You could reduce the frustration of more seasoned PvP players by implementing a PvP rank requirement in order to queue for ranked. For example, require players be rank 25 or greater in order to queue for Ranked Solo Feast, but allow new players to queue for 8v8 Feast or Frontlines. This would lessen their impact on matches, help them grow and succeed in pvp and get them ready for the competitive nature of ranked game play.

PvP does not a lot of improvements, Im excited to see the new maps and happy that the team is developing more maps. However, please, please, please, do not disable chat. It will make coordination difficult in solo queue, and have a negative impact on the ability to build a quality PvP community. I hate to say it, but if disabling chat in combat was a good idea we would have seen it a long time ago in games like WoW, GW2, or LoL, but the fundamental point of playing PvP in MMOs is the player interaction. Disabling this removes that core element of game play.

Agreed. Punishing everybody for the actions of a minority doesn't sit well with me. It's far better to simply take reports of harassment more seriously and crack down on bad behaviour than to prevent well behaved players communicating with each other.

They are probably going off of the mindset that most players doing ranked Feast are already using some form of outside communication, like Discord.

How are you supposed to link your Discord server in the chat for your team to hop in, if chat is restricted to only SE's premade macros?

I didn't say, nor infer, it was information posted at the beginning of a match. It was actually meant to suggest people that know each other in some form already using such methods before even queuing. If anything, them making this kind of limitation should make avid PvPers look outside the game to find people who want to PvP with them on a consistent basis. Much how many raiders already use places like Reddit to recruit and find like-minded people.

Think of it like this. You are in a 4v4 match with 3 strangers, and your objective is to defeat the otherside and gather/hold points to win.

Now what's more efficient. Taking your hands away from acting to type "Hey GO AFTER XYZ and don't do EXPLITIVE DELETED you EXPLITIVED DELETED" or having basic hotbar commands that say "Chase the Tank" "Dont' Attack Tank" "Attack Tank" "I"m silence" "I'm asleep" "Need assistance!"

The PVP actions for solo queue Feast are just a smarter means of doing the content because it streamlines the process of actions towards the party and focuses on what Feast is all about. Defeating the enemy. You no longer have to waste that time typing out command because the hotbar of commands gives you the player the power to quickly issue commands without the unnecessary hateful comments in between.

How are you not sure that they looked at the amount of matches and the amount of reports and decided people can't have nice things. They have limited amount of GMs and babysitting the PvP player base because they lost a few matches and decided to question if someone should be allowed to live.

I actually find it weird that they have solo que for ranked and not team base. People can't even decide on how many mobs to pull so they put more and more gates in and that is generally a 5 mins of saved time.

How can you give feedback without trying out the new feature, they give us to "test" actually. Nobody said that is a permanent solution. We dont even know how those motions will work during a fight, if there will be a message pop up for everyone or only role based, if there will be a text to the motion or only the emote self. Just wait and see...

Im totaly okay with this "restriction". I can Heal in Feast again without getting insulted if people accidently die or even kill themselves by runnign into enemy base alone.
