How about a token system for ranked Feast?

You get 1 token at the end of the Season for being in Top 100. You get two for Top 10 and three for #1.

There's a token shop where jewelry costs 1 token, gear and mount costs two and a crown, minion or something else costs three. Some items like #1 housing trophy will still be exclusive to winners.

It'll solve many problems, like exclusive mounts being unavailable to new players later or to those who can't make a premade team on small server and grind into Top 30 for a premade mount; they'll just get it through alternate means like being in solo Top 100 for two seasons.

No thanks, I'd rather keep the exclusivity of the rewards. This token system would blur the meaning behind the rewards, and there's so little exclusive gear in the game (especially that displays a level of skill) that I think it should stay the way it is. To me, this is no different than making the housing trophy obtainable by anyone with enough time to squeeze into the 100th slot (or better). There's a whole lot of difference between the skill level of the #1 slot, and the #100 slot.

The existing rewards system is fine, let their be some kind of "awe" left in the game, everything is already so casual as it is.

So you call the current permanently missable rewards system 'fine'.

    I see.

People will whiteknight everything even if it's against their own interests.

Is it still whiteknighting if I'm a S1 top 100 and would like to keep the masses out of the S1 top 100 cool kids club? Is there a selfish aspect to my wish to keep the existing system? Sure, I don't think anyone who didn't place in the top 100 S1 should get a golden wolf head, because that's a marker of my accomplishment. If they shared the same accomplishment, they would be the cool kids club, but the system you suggest takes away this exclusivity.

If I'm bothered by anything in the game, it's that the vertical progression and constant dumbing down of content takes away the "awe" factor in people's accomplishments. I don't know about you, but I came from FFXI where a lot of items were truly rare, and having them meant something. I don't agree with everyone having everything, or even really leaning in that direction. Especially given that Feast is the ONLY place in the game where you have "permanently missable rewards". I would say they're "permanently awesome", who else can say they share my accomplishment? Oh, about 100 people on my data center, of which there's only like 10 on my server. That's really cool.

Pls, general public does not care about pvp to think there's anything 'cool' about it. S1 and S2 glamours are ugly and not prestigious at all. Nobody except same few people wants to pvp for a reason. And Top 30 teams, getting score from random tome farmers premades, it requires no skill whatsoever, and yet they give them an exclusive mount, what's so 'accomplishing' about it?

I'd also like to have such system implemented.
I tried to play this 3rd season as much as I could, but could not spend as much time as other players and the PVP score gap kept increasing as the days passed...
Now I'm sad knowing I spent time trying to get to the top but not as much compared to the others to fill the score gap.
I understand that the top players want to keep their exclusive stuff, but it could be great if for exemple we had tokens to buy the last season's stuff.
And each time the current season winners would have their exclusive stuff meanwhile the others can spend tokens accumulated for previous season's stuff,
to not make the time spent in pvp feel like wasted.

Let's assume that the general public doesn't find/recognize PVP achievements as anything cool. What about in PVP? Especially on the Feast landing before the match, you can tell the "who's who" and judge their credibility and give more weight to their input (soon to be taken away :/) during a match.

S1/S2 glamours aren't ugly IMO (S1 is better, S2 is flat/bronze to me), but this is opinion. Prestigious? This isnt up for debate, you can't get the gear without being in the top 100, that's prestigious.

As far as Top 30 teams, that is, IMO, an entirely different discussion due to the ease of abuse. Do I think there are/were amazing teams in the Top 30? Absolutely. Do I think teams rankings is as legit as solo rankings, no, not necessarily due to the ease of abuse (and history of known abuse). But I'm glad that you and I (as well as the PVP community at large) agree that the teams-abusers diminish achievements in that ladder. Instead of further blurring this achievement, why not instead ask for more policing of the teams queue? You already essentially agreed that teams-abusers are bad.

You are overrating it. Just because someone is on Top doesn't mean it's prestigious. I mean, I'm number one Deep Dungeon player on my datacenter by score.

You can not beat my solo score. You... you simply will not beat it. Because it's not pvp, you actually need some skill to solo survive 150 floors and there's nobody who can help you.
But is it prestigious? Do you care? Does anybody care at all? No.

And the same is with PvP, nobody cares about whats your place is and how you get there. Total indifference. Bad looking glamour doesn't help either.
But at least new Top 30/100 mount will be rare and outstanding in a crowd, I admit it.

I'm not going to even try to argue what ratings means if you don't understand their significance. Clearly everyone in the top 100 got their by random chance, pure blind luck. Clearly.

Your perception about what is prestigious is really odd and off-base. I don't even know how the scoring works for Deep Dungeon but I think you must know what you're doing if you're #1, congrats. But maybe you don't, maybe you got their by random chance, pure blind luck.

This conversation has already been had elsewhere, where non-competitive players begged for ranked Feast rewards. I'm sure you know about it and how both PVPers and non-PVPers feel about removing exclusivity.
