If you want to play by your rules alone and not bother other people, why not try soloing it?
The forums can't all be about cash shops and wishlists. I don't mind helping someone if I can walk them through it.
Unless you're in Alexander or Coil, most tights can be summed up in a few words.
"Dodge x, move for y". More detail just wastes time.

Because undersized is locked for HW fights and anyone wanting to go in fresh is always inconveniencing others unless they have tons of patient friends
Seriously though I love to do my own research by learning with a bunch of friends fresh; hate watching videos in advance of other people who got to figure it out the more fun way. But asking for a full explanation is rude, as is not listening to instructions. I don't think Ramath was advocating either of these approaches so much as saying that 'kill nails' or 'adds first' is a perfectly reasonable level of pre-planning for groups to use to clear most ordinary fights. Especially since some strats can vary across cultures and it's good to have everyone on the same page...
For one guides on most fights are not allways easy to find and dont explain everything. Also most fights are explained in 2 sentences, so time waisting is minimal. This has been bugging the hell out of me. If you're gonna make the group spend time walking you through every stage of a fight before we go, why not save us all the time beforehand and just look it up, first? Seriously. I get wanting to go in blind, but this isn't that. It's just laziness!
Last but not least the moment looking up strategies on regular fights becomes a necesity i'd rather quit then continue playing. Waaaaay to hardcore.
I hate watching videos of fights. I like going in blind, but I also understand that there are 7 other people in the fight as well. I'll generally say it's my first time, give me the quick and dirty or don't and I'll figure it out. But I generally figure out mechanics within 1 or 2 tries.
I wasn't being serious, it's just that their attitude is bothering me.
They are not alone in this game and looking up the fight + asking for a few things to watch out for is imo the best way to prepare if one was to attempt a new fight for the first time.
I think that going completely blind (and therefore wasting other peoples' time) should only be done, if
1. the encounter is new, i.e. there are no guides available
or
2. they got some friends who are willing to explain everything thoroughly.
I, as a random player, cannot be expected to teach them just because they were unwilling to do a tiny bit of research themselves. Looking up a guide doesn't turn the game into a "research project" and make it any less about "playing games".
Going in unprepared is just being inconsiderate to players who are willing to prepare themselves. If you don't want to be considerate, don't play with randoms.
These mechanics are present in every single fight in this game. When a player asks if there is anything they need to know, this is usually not what they are asking for. What they are asking for is if this particular boss has something different from that they need to be aware of. They are doing the group a service by asking, and so is the person who takes the time to respond to it.
Having watched an s-ton of guides myself, most come out close to the time the content is released making 90% of the older guides outdated. Some of these fights are now roflstomps, others still have mechanics that can't be ignored. How can you tell if you're new to the fight and you don't ask?
It literally takes 1-2 minutes of your precious time, and helps reduce the probability of wipes.
Agree, it's annoying. There are also people who start yell at others, because they didn't explain a fight for them, or those missed some details.
Going blind is a lot of fun. I was doing whole savage without reading any guides. Figuring out what to do with those crystals in a12s was especially fun. But: I was doing it in a static and all 8 people were going blind too
Asking people tends to give most players the rundown of just the most important mechanics. Looking at a guide throws everything at you at once, sometimes leading to an information overload with certain people.
