Just skimmed the thread; your question is the highest-liked by miles, which is impressive since it's buried right in the middle of the thread. We'll know they don't give a good fart if this question isn't asked or is otherwise dodged during the Live Letter.http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...=1#post4007914
Please like my post if you are against chat removal, maybe they will give us some answers during EU live letter if we get enough likes.
It's absolutely beyond frustrating not being able to properly talk in the Feast. I can't even fathom the thought process behind restricting it like this.
"Hey, this part of the game requires a high level of communication to be enjoyable. Let's remove all communication!"
Im quite enjoying the "Nice Job!" spam on every party members death...
Given SE's track record with answering tough PvP questions, I'm speculating that one of two things will happen. They will either ignore the question entirely, or they will provide an extraordinarily vague response along the lines of, "we're talking this into consideration and reviewing all options." After which, they would probably try to redirect our attention with something new about PvP in Stormblood, then they would proceed to do nothing for weeks, months, or even years concerning the issue at hand ... Kinda like what happened every single time they were asked about Front Line GC restrictions. To be fair to them, they did eventually get around to that one. It only took them roughly 2 years of steady complaints, but they did get to it ...
Player: What about the chat restriction in pvp? Do you think to remove/adjust it?
Dev: "Sorry I don't speak any English"
Dev: "ok, next question!"
I'm ready for this![]()
This is a mistake also. Taking so damn long to make the right decision is almost as bad as making the wrong decision.
I'm very glad they finally listened but if the negligence and incompetence keeps up, I can only imagine that player retention will continue to decrease.
Just to show how horrible the macros are. None of them indicate anything regarding healers mana. I had a tank who picked 4stacks and the poor guy kept spamming "get medals"
The new monk decided that he will take medals. He ended up taking all our medals up to 7 stacks. He didn't know because to him that what he was told.
There is no room to explain anything to anyone with such restriction. This will only lead to a terrible environment for the future of ranked pvp.
I don't think I will bother competing next season if this restriction remains..
I just played a bunch of matches.
Not having chat is the absolute mind boggling stupidest change the devs can ever come up with. Also, the macros they give us have shown that the devs know absolutely jack about PvP.
After I get my 30 wins I'm not going back into feast until they bring chat back. And I will never recommend PvP in this game to anyone ever until it is fixed.
Yoshi-P, seriously, what is this?
The tiniest lala.
I said this in another thread but whatever..I just played a bunch of matches.

What is being missed even WITH censorship, people will find ways to be toxic anyway, like feeding, doing nothing, flooding the commands, spamming good job when someone dies, spamming good job for losing, People not changing to healer and goes in 8 DPS for instant loss. I can't believe how narrow minded this action was.
Yeah the only even plausible goal of this terrible decision was to limit people telling you you were bad, and this utterly failed. I considered coming back to pvp for this event but no, not with this. I'll stick to mgp versions of the few pieces that don't look terrible.
