There's a new cross-world blacklist function so you can mute all rude people now without need to mute all players. Maybe if you'll ask SE nice enough they'll return the chat. But I haven't seen any peitions about this yet.

Yo, hahahahaha wtf is this , they really implemented that. Oh god
So let me get this straight.
There is a "Purify Ready" command
"Purify Not ready" command
but no "I need a Purify"??
1. who cares about 8vs8Oh. . . they're as bad as I thought they'd be.
How can I tell my teammates not to stand on the bridge - a choke point - while fighting casters in 8v8s?
How can I tell them the enemy tank has 10 stacks (which is WHY I give the order to attack the tank)?
How can I ask for MP as a healer if no one notices?
How can I tell another teammate to use Detect because mine is on cooldown and I saw a NIN go into hiding?
How can I tell my team to focus the healer that just used all his big cooldowns and is now vulnerable?
Well, the Feast was fun for a good few patches. Never perfect, but fun. Guess I'll just do Frontlines only from now on. . .
2. use the "focus tank" one ppl will know why cause they see the amount of medals etc.
3. if a mch/brd dont give mp they wont do it most likely even if u use a macro or type it also typing as healer is bad
4. detect in feast? ninja in feast? lul
5. use the "focus healer " command
As someone with over 2000 matches played as healer, I can say the the macro asking for MP is vital. Only a select few of brd/mch will pay enough attention to your mp, a few more will do so only when reminded, and then the rest usually don't at all. However, in my experience, that middle group makes up the bulk of players I've played with. The communication is important.1. who cares about 8vs8

I'd spammed 'Thank You' (because there's no 'Please') or 'Fall back!' 10 times in a row. If a bard has more than 1 brain cell he'll notice something is goin on.As someone with over 2000 matches played as healer, I can say the the macro asking for MP is vital. Its not that communication for that is important its more like people dont know how to play the class /shrug + they can always add more commands. As someone with over 2000 matches played as healer, I can say the the macro asking for MP is vital. Of course they CAN, but there are two huge concerns with this.
1) Will they give us a more complete selection on the next update?
2) Will said update come in a timely fashion?
SE is extremely slow at fixing issues, and often it takes them more than one try to get it semi right. People would likely rather quit the content, or even the game, instead of waiting for the next patch where "maybe" they'll fix the problem.
1. My work doesn't allow me to catch the prime times for 4v4 ranked queues most days, so 8v8 is generally all I get. So, I care about 8v8s. Pretty sure some others do too.1. who cares about 8vs8

2. If right now I can mark a tank and say "X player has 10 stacks, focus them" and no one does, how well do you think that'll work when I CAN'T say why I'm marking a tank?
3. As a MCH main, I got no problem providing MP, but I'm not always on-the-spot with it, especially if I'm being focused or going in for a kill. There's nothing bad about communicating what you need, and the bigger picture implied there was that there is now no way to communicate that particular need from what I've seen.
4. Yes, some people play NIN. Some use Hide for setting up surprise attacks. It actually works. NIN may not be a favored job in the Feast, but in the hands of someone who knows how to use it well, it's no less of a threat to deal with, and many people don't use Detect, even when they see a NIN hide right in front of them.
5. The bigger picture again is that yes, I can say to focus someone, but if a teammate by chance is tunneling or switches your mark, or won't focus the healer or whoever you mark, there's no way to explain WHY to focus that one, and while typing in combat is a liability, sometimes the why of it is important to getting people to notice what they might not otherwise. It's all about communication, or lack thereof now.
And while all of what I said was based on actual experiences, it was satire to a degree, if only to perhaps make others think and see the potential slew of issues this new "feature" creates rather than solves. I very much have already considered solutions and workarounds of my own, but it does little to solve the core problem now at hand. No, I'm not only going to do Frontlines, but I pretty much have no choice but to accept the soon-to-come lack of effective communication in the Feast, considering we never even got an acknowledgement that they heard our concerns ahead of time, and they simply pushed the change we didn't want.
But hey, at least I can still get the top 10 minion later even though I'm not even in the top 100 (see #1 on the above list). How about them earrings though?
