Some of the strategy I use I don't know if the auto translator have words for. Like: we have the lead, run like your life depends on it in a loop around your base. Does the auto translator have these words? I have won a few games with this strategy.

The thing is Zojha, they may not be able to ask more experienced people if chat is muted from start to finish. Even then some of the better players are on locked realms, so asking outside of a match is not a real option for everyone.
Hardly any of the arguments against this change are weak. Outside of catering to people being overly sensitive, restricting chat does not mean games will be better. People who are triggered can set up a muted party/say/emote tab with one of their 4 chat tabs. They can play Feast in ignorance while those of us who use chat to communicate can resume doing so.
My biggest concern with*this is that since we'll be so limited with chat options, the actions become very watered down and Feast becomes really boring. Could you imagine? {Boxes have spawned} {Please pick up Adrenaline} {Limit Break} {Target the Healer}. Yawn.
It's not a weak argument, if you are indeed referencing to the original argument of "if chat is turned off, there is a strong possibility that the players making mistakes will never learn what those mistakes are, and therefore continue to repeat them."
Not everyone is introspective, so even just having someone say "wow, your damage sucks", "wow, you didnt attune you scrub!", "blackmage, you need to cc!", etc. Could be a shove in the right direction for some players.
There is a glaring flaw in this logic. The people who are pioneers are as such because there is no established information to learn off of. They do not go in blind because they can, they do it because there is no other option. If there IS information out there, you can be sure that these people will give it a look. Those that are coming in later and going in blind do not strive to improve as much as they can, since they are being ignorant to the abundance(subjective) of information available to them, which is putting them at a large disadvantage not only against the veterans, but against the new players who are putting forth more effort in their learning.

The funny thing is there is such a stigma right now even advice is handled as being toxic. When I am tilted I am probably too mean about things, "wtf, don't LoS me around stairs, do you want to lose". When I am not tilted and try to give advice, some people think I'm being toxic, "you're not bursting right, the rotation for bard is .... Make sure you get that right everytime you you use your buffs." The guy immediately yelled at me for being toxic and I had to spend the next 30s explaining I was just trying to help.
This proves that their reporting harassment system is not working as it should. If it were working, then those who are saying truly vile things would no longer have a platform to say those things.
Calling another player "trash" is NOT a truly vile thing and if you want to live in a digital world insulated from criticisms or harsh words, than you need to go play Candy Crush.
If a person is playing horribly than they should be told so. You're also effecting MY gameplay.
It's just hilarious that some elements of the main story like, um...idk, murder, sex, slavery, genocide are ok, but calling out special snowflakes is crossing the line. -_-
i don't call this being toxic,
being toxic to me is more like this :
Saying the healer is bad in the middle of a fight, nobody have time to tell something not usefull middle of a match, also being toxic is insult people in the end of a match and get away.
It's not like we don't have to say something when someone do a mistake, but saying trash for nothing is useless.
You see never useless trash talk ?
off course we have to say or point a mistake, bad playing, but i see also often garbage talk.
and off course say something useless is more easy and it's just the result from raging.
Say a true criticisms is harder.
Advice and criticisms is not toxic at all.
You have to keep a few things in mind when giving advice
1. You can give advice, but that doesn't mean others are obligated to follow it. It's up to the receiver what he does with it.
2. Your intentions aren't clear. Online, communicating non-verbally is hard. People can't see your facial expression, you're only left withxD :P :3 and even those get perceived as hostile sometimes.
3. It's an enviroment where people are already more touchy than they should be, their reaction to your advice can just be frustration that accumulated over time after getting.
4. When someone isn't asking for advice and you give it, it can easily shift from advice to telling them what to do. Not everyone likes that.

'kay. Can't argue with that!
(Just to name "a few" threads where people used the option that's apparently not a real option and asked questions to the more experienced players. I could plaster this page if I wanted to go through the forums more extensively. But keep up your beliefs! It's religious freedom.
I'll just see myself out - no point in arguing with people in fully socketed Fact Resistance materia)

I said not everyone... There are a rare few who do go to forums or google... or ask top players.
Instead of just coming in this thread and saying there are no good arguments for keeping chat enabled, what benefits do you see coming from the proposed system? Do the pros outweigh the cons in your eyes?
