I don't typically respond to people like you, since you seem to be a troll more than someone actually wanting to discuss the topic. However, I understand where your questioning comes from. Your question actually reads: "Isn't it hypocritical to call him out on not having enough information to make his own assumption, and then turn around and assume something yourself?"

Here's your answer: I have played this game since the 2.0 relaunch, and with nearly every single feature that SE has ever added into this game, they have fallen victim to huge oversights in their design. On top of that general observation, SE also has very minimal understanding of their own game when played at high levels. This issue is exacerbated in PvP. As someone who has been playing PvP for a long time, and understands the finer points of communication needed to play certain jobs effectively, I worry that these will be missed by SE when creating their macros, as they, again, have proven time after time that they are not capable of covering all the bases.

I am hoping that this time, they listen to us without taking three years to realize what a terrible decision this is for the community as a whole. Censorship does not solve problems, it only creates different problems.

These are just a few of the Common communications I can think of right now there are a lot more which people use often.
And these commands are used by people in the top 10, used by players that are not bad (as you state) by any means.
Communication is what is needed for healthy team PVP and I fear they will just give us a few basic communication tools, not nearly enough needed...

You understood me wrong I use some of these too but it's not needed in any way. If I use a macro to tell dps to pick up medals lot of ppl either won't or will do it but without macro. We got new commands in exchange and those things u said above aren't needed if u are aware. Yes I saw ppl use macro but tbh spamming smth doesn't help. You just used macros not doing some kind op communication in solo if u have players who can do their job u don't have to use any of those. For example "I'm dead"is obvious same goes for needing to go back, you don't need to tell tanks how many stacks they should know, fighting in middle is always the case unless u have to retreat or can finish someone of due chasing. So there are max 3macros u should be using NOT spamming some crap. So yea commands will be enough most likely

I don't see much reason trying to discuss a topic with someone who is going to disregards other's thoughts and insist that his are correct. But I'll give my thoughts anyways (;

I've also been playing since the 2.0 relaunch, and while I don't care enough to pay attention to the negatives of "nearly every single feature", I can say for certain that SE is definitely good at listening and giving to the community (which, unfortunately, is why I feel this chat restriction won't be implemented).

Macros are the concern. As for the people complaining about lack of strategizing - that's ridiculous. The game mode is simple, the objective is the same every single game. The objective doesn't require any insane amount of coordination. I've won countless feast games where nobody in chat says anything, and the only thing I see in chat are macros. It's just that straightforward and simple. As for the macros. If done wrong, then yes this change will be a disaster. However, you say that you guarantee that SE will not add in enough relevant macros to do justice. I disagree. Maybe initially, unfortunately, but they will understand that this is a very touchy subject, so if there's something that needs to be added they'll do it. A "bursting target in 6s" macro? Doable. "Need purify" macro? Doable. The list goes on and on and if we ask for it we'll get it. So yes, I do think this is a good change.

Which is it? You came into the thread without stating a reasoning for your opinions, so how am I supposed to understand? Of course I will write you off when all you say in response to me is "??????".

I would love to polish my skills as a healer in the Feast but it's really too long of a wait time just to be told to die or find another game. I don't even step foot in ranked and can't hope to use unranked as it was intended (as practice) without being slapped repeatedly, told to die, told to choke on someone's c**k, harassed, etc. The PVP community is small as it is because of the toxic attitude surrounding it.

There should be severe punishment for those who are harassing others, not a massive censorship for all PVP players. I would love nothing more than to see people banned from PVP indefinitely for the sort of unbelievable things they feel perfectly comfortable writing in party chat. You can't play respectfully, you can't play at all.

I also disapprove of any chat restriction. I believe this will be the nail in the coffin for an already small pvp community. The toxicity is awful, but there are some things that could be better implemented to help achieve a better goal of this.

Give us a better introduction to new people to pvp skills.
Give us a better mentoring system so we can work hands on with those who wish to learn.
Give us a better matchmaking system that doesn't match people of such vast skill differences together. (it is better this season but still has its issues)

SE, you are going about this in the wrong way. Censoring people is just a band aid. Help us help the community better. The current "pvp mentor" status is too much of a joke.

Healers have the fastest que times in the feast... its under 5minutes for the most part bordering sometimes on instant pops...during Prime time.

OP is from Balmung, which is Aether. As someone who is also an Aether healer, I can say that healing queues have slowed down significantly this past week, and melee are now getting instant queues. Also, due to how easy it is to climb this season, unranked/bronze players are having a longer wait time to find games since most anyone who cares is diamond/plat/gold by now.
