Temporary Fix for Error 30002

Change some settings on your NIC card will normally resolve the issue. Yes, it is most likely server side, however it can be managed client side.

As said, I have solved the issue with random R0 and Error 30002. It was some settings on the actual network interface card for the computer I have running FFXIV.

These are the settings, and what they are set to for stopping Error 30002.

Flow Control = Disabled
Interrupt Moderation = Disabled
Priority & VLAN = Disabled

To get to these settings, they are usually located in the Advanced tab of your Networking Controller in Device Manager.

1. Right Click My Computer or just Computer
2. Select Manage
3. Click on Device Manager
4. Expand the Network adapters list
5. Double Click on the network adapter listed (if you have more than one and not sure which one, just do this to all of them EXCEPT for wireless network cards)
6. Click on the Advanced tab
7. Select Flow Control and set the Value to Disabled
8. Select Interrupt Moderation and set the Value to Disabled
9. Select Priority & VLAN and set the Value to Disabled
10. Click OK
11. Reboot!

This fix won't work for you.
Your best solution is to stop using wireless. If you really have to, make sure nothing else is interfering with your signals. E.g. Wireless phones, cells and even wires in the wall.

unfortunately my router is too far atm to use a wire.
however it should be server side, right?

lol, just got it again. no other signals around. guess i need to buy a 10m cable.

Solved.
Tested for 2 days, no more error 30002 after (i used to have it 10 times every day).
I didn't use a cable, i'm still using wireless on 64 bit Windows 7.

1. forward ports 55296–55551 (i was only using 55296 before).
2. use FFXIV priority booster.
3. go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Multimedia\SystemProfile. Set network performance throttling to 100 (default is 10).
4. go to "Documents -> My Games -> Final Fantasy XIV -> user" and delete every folder inside it.

HyTeK - what does disabling these settings do?

I remember Flow Control was a concept from back when people used dialup modems that determines how data streams are managed to keep one device from overtaking another. I actually have that disabled on my network adapter.

However, what does Interrupt Moderation and Priority & VLAN do?

I tried the suggestions mentioned by the op and it did seem to help but i still lose connection every so often. It's kind of sad that you have to do all this just to play. It would be nice if SE would release a patch or something to fix this instead of just ignoring it or saying wait for 2.0. If this is still going on by the time this game becomes pay to play then it looks like I'll be quitting.

There are a lot of people still having the constant disconnects. The problem is not us, the problem is something with the SE servers. I'm really starting to lose patience with this game and I'm sure many others are too.

Indeed, doing this only helps but the crashes and unstable connection problem on server side is crazy.
I have to relog at least 3 times everyday until I can "get the line" from server side, but once you crash then it will be that "relogging until you get the line" again. This is 2011, not 1996 with a dial-up modem.

I doubt they will or can do anything tho, just gonna blame it on the current server structure and tell us to wait a year for 2.0. LOL

this is crazy. happening a lot to me too, now.... i tried both fixes suggested here, but nothing got better....

I cannot be online for more than 2 minutes.... constant and continous disconnections... if no word on this matter I am not gonna pay in a month time.... not paying for a game I cannot play...

FFXIV is doing an emergency scheduled maintenance. Hope it helps. I've also been suffering some more than common d/c problems as of late.
