    Do you really want to do raid level difficulty dungeons with random groups? I would be interested to see the clear rates from that.

    Wiping city is not that hard and yet the wipes are strong in that one. That alone should prove that the playerbase as a whole is not ready for more very difficult dungeons.
    I don't think anyone said making things Savage difficultly (I for one made SURE to mention not to do this). That is obviously the opposite extreme of what we have now and in no way would it be wise to force that onto everyone. Conversely, it has been unwise to push the easy extreme out.

    I'd argue the player base isn't ready because very little content asks for much from players; you can go from 1-60 and not have any clue what half your abilities do. There is also the fact people sometimes just don't listen and are ok with a carry. People ARE capable of learning and growing if given the chance/pushed into it. In most content, as long as the healer knows which button Cure is and a tank can Flash, you really can't screw up.

    Why do some people just think in such extremes? Making dungeons harder would not mean that we want (or at least not all) savage difficulty, there is still a lot between that and it just being mindless. Let the main story dungeon stay on this level or maybe always make it a little harder than before so people that are just not that good have their dungeon to farm and so that they can do the MQS. But why call Dungeons Hardmode if they are truly not that hard? They might not be that easy for the less skilled ones, but is it really that good to just keep the skill level the same or even lower so that those people will never get better? (And I dont mean people that have disabilities, which will hinder them. )

    I would say that Wiping city might not be the hardest raid ever, but it still much harder than the one before that and I would not call it easy. Its going into the right direction and it was nice that the devs said no to the people that wanted it nerfed.

    A: In older MMOs, such as Ultima Online, there was a house maintenance fee you had to pay weekly, but in FFXIV: ARR we decided against this system. Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.

    Agreed. It took me by surprise as I went "another easy 24 man, lets do this". WC, maybe SLIGHTLY easier, should be the baseline difficultly overall. Not at all hard but also not too easy.

    I snipped due to limits but I 100% agree on the confusion in thinking of extremes. I'm very confused why when someone mentions "slightly more difficult" people think of Alex Savage. There's a reason why it is kinda locked off so no one in their right mind would want that for a baseline.

    The results are in. People are willing to improve if they face an obstacle. More content thats slightly harder is greatly welcomed. more weeping cities, less Dullbreakers.

    I want mechanics in dungeons, that while they shouldnt cause a wipe due to one mistake, it should be more punishing than "Oh i lost 5% hp for missing this core mechanic"

    this games "Expert" dungeons are a joke. so are most trials by now. Make people think in combat and punish those who wont with death.

    expert dungeon were challenging in 3.0 I remember having 20 minute last boss fights, but because only levelling dungeons have item level sync, most things will get very easy.

    I didn't. They were easy as hell back then too, the only struggles were Tanks being STR all day, and me as a 3.0 AST was hell on mother earth.
    All expert or 4 man runs are easy and the Poll has to be bull poopie because the if it was true, why do we have constant topics screaming nerf every time we get something?...
    Then possibly eventually gets nerfed...I think SE is starting to stop that now.
    I do agree with Enur and removing "Team Jump Rope." No one likes that crap.

    EDIT: Also a lot of people like to pick & pull comments and take them into extremes.

    Well one can also say: Wait till you are x item levels over the minimum to run it, if you want a easy dungeon.

    They weren't hard. They just took longer to complete because we were barely geared back then.
