Dev Request: Confirmation prompt for returning to start (similar to declining raise)

Simply put I would like the confirmation put in place for declining a raise in patch 3.3 to be used for returning to the start of an instance when you die. I know that I myself have done it once on accident, but if you spend any time in the Weeping City you've probably seen a lot of "accidental" returns. In any case, it seems like it would be a helpful thing to have.

    From patch notes:
When selecting Decline on the confirmation prompt for actions such as Raise or Resurrection, players must press and hold the button for a fixed period of time to decline the action.

one of my raid members did this last night, and we started into a similar discussion about how the release would also be useful to have a 'hold to confirm' option. Both instances perform similar base functions, keeping a player from inadvertently not rejoining combat, although the res one also prevents wasting MP. Certainly a QoL adjustment I wouldn't complain about.

    Awesome idea!

That happens a lot to me, specially when I hear the sound of some rise near me and I think the rise was for me. =P

This would have made a lot more sense than forcing you to have to hold two seconds to decline a raise (a change I have never liked). I'm still not sure I would want this sort of change either, though. The vast majority of the time I hit the home point button, I actually wanted to. Tacking on a 2-second delay to all of those times feels like it will eventually add up to numerous lost minutes of my life.

Liked. A 2 second wait before you appear at the start of a dungeon isn't that big a deal compared to accidentally hitting the button and wiping the team or delaying a boss fight with less DPS/heals etc.

While a decent idea, is there anything in the game which has an activation based on holding a button? I ask this because if there is not then that would mean they would need to add that to the coding to allowing "holding the button" to be used as an indicator for selection.

It might just be easier to have a checkmark which states

"Confirm Decline" If it's checked it will Confirm if you want to decline if it's unchecked it won't confirm if you wish to decline.

This would be easier to implement then a hold button to confirm because they already have something like this under the Emote tab that say "Display Log Message" if unchecked your emotes will never show when used but when it's checked it will show the text of said emote.

It's already implemented on Decline a raise. What the OP wants is for it to be implemented on Return to start (which is the on the same location on the popup as Accept raise) because of people being to hasty on trying to hit Accept before the raise popup actually pops up.

I accidentally did this once too.
    It was so embarrassing.

I find it strange they didn't do this before "hold to decline a raise".

Sure it's annoying if you lose a raise because of a mistake but at least you can still get another one and keep fighting. If you release on the other hand you can't do anything about it and most of the time this lead to a wipe.

Would have made a lot more sense to prevent accidental release than refusing a raise.
