[Discussion] Contest problem for outside NA or EU

As someone who living outside America or Europe that has NA account, this is really troublesome because I can't enter any contest that SE launch like that "Eorzean Home Makeover". Is there any chance for us to enter the contest and can recieve the digital prize as well? (I don't know for physical one since it must be difficult to shipping).

Maybe it has something to do with the laws of the country you live in ? :/

It's questionable for physical prize but how about the digital one? Until now I can't join any contest because it always restricted on America. If the digital prize is open for everyone but the physical is only for America, I think it's much fair IMO.

Well I don't know where you live but are you sure they make a distinction in the laws regarding physical and digital prizes ? they might just say "prices" without making a difference between the 2 (or did not care because administrations and digital....meh ^^")

I don't think there's any distinction for those prize but I just worried the physical part might troublesome for shipping. But aside of that, I just want those digital contest prize can distribute to any country with NA account like the butler and maid stuff.

It has little to do with the laws in the various countries as it does with cost. It is more economical for a company like SE to obtain a licence for a competition in the US or Japan given the number of subscribers likely to enter said competition, than through smaller countries. Then take into account things like postage costs and the like, in the end, its cheaper.
