Every time I try to start up the launcher I get one of these 2 errors...

I was in a dungeon, then I randomly started to lag and crashed like my internet cut out or something, even though it didn't and I was able to stream videos etc. after wards just fine. Now whenever I try to start up the launcher I get 1 of these 2 errors...

The first one, -2146697208, can be browser related since the launcher uses Internet Explorer. You could try opening Internet Explorer->Tools->Internet Options (or just running inetcpl.cpl), choose the "Advanced"-tab, scroll down to "Security". Here make sure to SSL 3.0 is disabled and TLS 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2 is enabled before clicking "ok". It might also be your anti-virus, you can try adding "http://frontier.ffxiv.com/*" to your AV's exception list.

The second, Version Check failed, can be related to you FFXIV_BOOT.cfg found in your Documents\My Games\Final Fantasy XIV:ARR folder. Try opening it, find the line "BootVersionCheckMode", set it to 0 and save it. If the error persists you can try deleting the FFXIV_BOOT.cfg file before trying again. After deleting it, the launcher will act as if it's the first time you're starting it. Some have had success with making sure "Read Only" is disabled for the previous mentioned folder and it's contents.

Hope some of this works for you.
