Jandor's argument is that there's a certain irony to offering people to pay to not play the game.
For many people those cutscenes, the exploration of the maps and the background created for their characters is the game.
Therefore it's actually almost exactly the same thing to offer people raid clears for rl money. That's what he was poking fun at.
The same way some people want easygoing content, the same way some people hate it and find it mind numbing. Well, at that rate if you tried to please everyone you'd offer skips for everything. That was the point.
Personally I support the jump potion if they require people to do some dungeons from lower lvl ranges first because simply put it'll be a shock to them and completely unpleasant to be thrust directly into lvl 50 or 60 content without having gotten to use their skills in a lighter environment.
While I'm perfectly fine with wipes due to people still looking at their skills/having joined less than half hour ago, I do not look forward to the idea that a lot of excited people will be yelled at for things they can't help.
