FFXIV monthly sub based game with a premium P2W inspired cash shop. Sub based + paid expansions + skins/mounts you can't get in game + content that could have been easily in game features (like the retainers for extra inventory which miraculously bypass all the "limitations" thing) and now power leveling pots. Can't wait for the next premium priced addition.
The game could have used more work in this area to make it more friendly to newcomers and change some thing on the lower lvls but the paid option is too convenient and easy money cow I guess.

Hmm lets buy a potion that skips the MSQ, skips leveling, skip to "end game" to the same treadmill get bored after couple months and quit. Yup that basically the type of (new) players that would use the jump potions. I could see this for alts but why would new players want to skip large potion of the game, yea yea they find it "broing" refer to my earlier part of the post. Do they buy a book and just read the last couple pages?

I can tell you what sort of player does it in WoW: ones who only care about the end-game, AKA hardcore raiders. Because they need to get to that content as fast as possible, they boost and plow through what remains after the boost.

Admittedly, World of Warcraft has a lot more to offer on the endgame/raiding front, so I can see where players of this game might be concerned that a boost potion will lead to burnout sooner. I guess the real question becomes...which is worse for the game? Boosters who get tired of the endgame faster, or prospective players who never bother to keep going past level 20 because the game isn't compelling enough at that level? There's no clear answer to that question, but from a business perspective the booster at least invests more financially into the income of the game.

Aren't "hardcore raiders" always complaning there is not enought content to be done ? Why ruch to endgame if it is to complain later on that there is nothing to do ?

This whole 'please don't say anything even slightly negative' mentality that we seem to be going towards and the devs seemingly pushing towards it is creating a disturbing trend.

Because the rest of the content is not interesting to them. It's as simple as that. If someone doesn't care for part of the game, that won't change. It's that way over there, it's that way over here.

It's why big time raiders are a huge portion of the sub-unsub-patch-resub group.

Because hardcore raiders want to hardcore raid.

That's like telling someone who complains about not having enough beer for the party to drink more water first.

If anyone can actually answer this they should win a Nobel Prize. But I'm pretty sure it's an unanswerable question. :P

Complaining on the official forum about a lack of hardcore raiding content is the true end-game.

Generalizing gets us nowhere. The point is, this is to cater to other people who require the use of a jump potion, not you. If you have an issue, feel free not to purchase the potion. o7

Also, let me remind you, the fault of endgame content "not being enough", is a dev issue. So trying to justify not adding a jump potion because less than 2% of the playerbase feels the content is irrelevant after a certain period of time, isn't really a fair reason now, is it?
