This game is already WoW...
It seems Yoshida posted some words regarding the matter on the japanese forum, french translators are working on it now, any news from the english team ?
People don't know how to take criticism anymore, and bad play is rewarded with with a coddling mentality. Yes, this is a casual game for the most part - that doesn't mean people need to walk on eggshells in fear of getting reported for pointing out things. This whole 'please don't say anything even slightly negative' mentality that we seem to be going towards and the devs seemingly pushing towards it is creating a disturbing trend.
8800 is that version mogstation credits, so NAs version of crysta. So what? The packs cost 8800 yen (= 70(!)€) and give you 200k gil... what madman pays 7000€ for 20 Million Gil?
For 70€ you'd get >75 Million gil from a RMT. Ye, that's 'illegal', bust just look at the numbers...
People buying 200k for 70 bucks aren't abusing anything, they're just spilling money on the company for almost nothing in return.. 200k, lawl.. that's half of what I invest on replica items for desynthesis on a daily basis, which gains me at least 800k in return for 5 mins work...
Let them obliterate their money for crap if that ensures more budget for ma game.
Inflation because of this? Lawl. 200k... xD
Not sure what the yuan to crysta ratio is but the 8800 is the Chinese crysta.
Its not Crysta actually but another Cash Shop Token called Coupons, China FFXIV's cash shop is owned by Shanda Games and not Squarenix. 8800 Coupons would serve about the same function as Crysa though.
I think 8800 Coupons = around 147 Yuan = around 21 Dollars US
So yes, judging from the google translate there's 2 serperate potions. One potion that will unlock a job to 60 (not including DRK AST MCH or any Stormblood jobs) and it costs 25,000 yen or 25 USD.
Then the second potion is the "main story clear" potion which sets 3.5s quest completion flag and opens up every dungeon raid etc as if you had done all the content in the game. Also 25USD roughly. So for a new player coming to the game wanting to skip, thats about 50 dollars.
Jumping potions have always been expensive in other games, it's a big premium for skipping content, while here they are dividing it in two each still seems to come around at half the price of a full potion, so buying two items isn't an issue.
Those anti level jump should be glad they are putting the price bar high, it means less people will buy it and more will take the traditional leveling approach, aka spam potd while still dont knowing how to play.
Yeah, I love it when companies rip their customers off, makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.
Also regarding the price, it's set that way to encourage the idea that "jump potions aren't for everyone. Only buy them if you truly don't care"
