Game runs fine but computer bogs down to a screeching halt

Hey all,

Well, the game runs fine, but once I start it and, say, Alt-Tab to something else running on my system (or, if nothing is open, to open something else), the computer quickly begins to slow in response, eventually pretty much ceasing to respond, though the mouse still works.

The game continues to run fine. Once I close it, the computer still shows the same bogged down problem. (Note: it's not locked up, just occupied or bogged down). I end up having to restart.

I've checked the Task Manager, and there's no excessive memory or CPU usage.

Windows 10
NVidia GTX 650
16 megs ram
3.3 MHz chip
Avira antivirus (no, haven't turned that off. Don't see that as an issue...yet)

What screen mode are you running the game? Under system config/screen mode. Try borderless windowed and see if it helps.
