Can we use any room size (like a mansion or a small house) or does it need to be a FC room/Apartment?

• Perform a ‘makeover’ of the inside of your apartment or private chambers in Final Fantasy XIV by changing the design or appearance of the room.

Based on above rules my thoughts were strictly apartment or private chambers via a Free Company... But again a handful of submissions already are not.

If we could get an official response it would be great as it will dictate my final decision on what room I will be redecorating for submission! (Along with others can have clarification incise they wonder why they may be disqualified if it truly is just Apartment Room or Free Company Private Chambers!

Will be interesting to see. I managed to skim past that multiple times and was starting to wonder how they'd keep it face considering someone in a mansions could simply wall off a section of the basement and use their entire item count for that area. Keeping it to fc rooms and apartments makes sure everyone's on the same item limit.

*fair not face. I was almost considering gutting my upstairs for more items to use in the downstairs, but this gives me a reason to get an apartment and spruce it up.

Ya, that thread is a mess. Tons of broken links and mods not fixing them or allowing us to fix them. Tons of people clearly not reading the rules and posting entire house floors or doing bad hiding jobs and including staircases in the screenshots lol.

AHHHH so I just noticed where it said "apartments & private rooms" for entries.... am I able to resubmit my entry so it fits the guidelines??? My original entry was of my basement but I can redo it, I just don't want to be disqualified for "entering twice" or for my first entry where it doesn't meet the guidelines....

Apologies if this wasn't clear, but as mentioned in the detailed rules, all submissions must be taken from either a player's private chambers or apartment in order to qualify. Entries determined to be taken from other housing areas will be disqualified.

If you don't get an answer near the deadline I would just make a new submission within the guidelines and a small explanation at the bottom stating you missed that rule with your first submission and the current submission is to be within the guidelines. The worst that can do is still disqualify you at that point.
