A temporary band-aid suggestion until a more permanent solution can be found:

Make it so that people cannot send you party invites from a different zone unless they're in your FC, one of your linkshells, or on your friends list.

Too much coding, too much work.

Square enix's solution to this, like all things: Ignore it and let the players figure out their own methods of dealing with it.

They are... evolving.

Which means, that SE's previous additions were actually effective enough that they had to adapt.

SE just needs to keep up the pressure.

I think the easiest fix would be to add a quick report option for character names that violate the terms of service and block people who are flagged from party invites. Basically the same thing SE already set up for tells.

Could they not code in an exception rule for names or strings in names? Like don't allow a first or last name to have 'pvp' in succession, or something like that. Or is that too much coding? I know nothing about it.

Pretty sure they've already got filters set up for 'disallowed names', it would just be a matter of adding specific strings to those filters.
