I'm saying don't bother trying to blacklist every single RMT that pings you if they are going to delete characters quickly. You'll spend more time playing blacklist: the game rather than playing the game itself.

Surely we can still /report them... I mean, when they investigate they'll see the name, and the sheer number of invites, and the fact that those invites never lead to actually forming parties and doing anything, and put two and two together that the report isn't a false alarm...

When devs during fanfest talk about issues doing extra things because of server resources. I do not think "How many party invites sent" is part of the tracked thing.

Plus this new thing bypasses the games "filter" list for bans it seems.

Well, just had my first one today. Ever since the report feature came in it's been pretty great. If this starts to get more rampant.. we'll need to get a fix in quick.

True, but they'll just delete their characters and make another one to start over.

ESO's mitigation for this is to limit you to 3 character deletes and each one only re-gens after 24 hours .. not ideal for someone trying to create multiple characters in an alt-based game but in FFXIV I don't see it being really a big problem.

Indeed, the game also needs such a disable for ninja FC invites, sadly SE have refused to do this when asked in the past.
