    So I apologize if I missed some stuff but I only read the OP!

    I started using Resonance late in 1.19 for Ifrit in situations where it wasn't safe to move into range of a player who was a bit out of cast range.

    Being able to Raise and remain safe during Ifrit's rush was something I considered very valuable. Also Resonance helps during Ifrit where I am able to heal the tank at auto-attack range as a melee when mages had their hands full dodging cracks and such.

    That being said, I think increased range is restricted to being useful in niche situations such as the aforementioned.

    The ideia of ranged spells is to stay away of AoE or out of enemy sight. So its quite useful to avoid a 800 hit on a endgame mob.

    This sums it up pretty well. I don't even find it that useful for Ifrit, though. I think Resonance should offer some kind of MP reduction on top of the range boost.

    by the way they said in the 1.20 patch notes that all AoEs are circular around the target and the differences from AoEs that used to exist no longer apply.

    Well, assuming you run Ifrit/Moogle in groups where everyone can dodge things perfectly, then yes it would definitely have much more limited use. I usually tend to prepare myself for a few mistakes to happen and I've seen one too many people die all the way across the circle during Ifrit haha.

    Back when the Moogle fight allowed hate to be reset upon raising, Resonance was used for raising people out of cast range after recovering from a wipe, especially since some people would still be on raise timer and those with Raise would be prioritized first to maximize the amount of time remaining.

    I think a simple way to improve the ability itself is to make Resonance a self-buff that increases range of spells for a certain amount of time, rather than a single cast only. It would certainly make soloing a bit easier, though it's not hard to begin with since we already have useful enfeebling tools such as blizzara/blizzard/sleep/thundara.

    i use it tanking ifrit. my ls thms stand far away and i cant reach them. Resonance > prisim > cure. i cure all the thms and get all the hate. and it lets them go nutts.

    Is it just me, or does anyone else find it kind of strange that people generally seem to be getting far more (most of the?) use with this THM ability... when using it to cast CNJ spells?
