    Its not a complex game and it has a bit of dept to it and so many strategy you can use. The biggest problem was it wasnt in the DF when it first came out, the majority of players who plays it already have all the rewards from it so why bother to continue to play it any further.

    With better planed button layout then what we currently have. To cycle through Gates you have to push R3, for anyone using a control cycling is more common using L1/2 R1/2.

    Been a while since I've played but even then why Not use cross hotbar to summon minons? Hold R2 or L2 as we do in game and summon minions as we would use skills.

    LoV is just way too complicated for what people thought it was going to be. The tutorial is crazy long which is very telling for what should have been really simple and casual stuff.

    I think they should have just had consideration for controllers when designing the game in the first place. You can have something that has strategic depth but simple and intuitive controls. They seem to have figured out the game design + rules first before figuring out how it would control when you have to do that kind of stuff hand-in-hand.

    Pikmin is a great RTS-lite that plays really well because the controls and game design both take into account the fact that you will be playing it with a controller.

    I tried to play it, but I quickly got lost with the tutorials.

    I progressed enough to unlock the 5th challenge, which allowed me to a 15 minutes grind every week for 10000 MGP. I think that is as far as I care about LoV.

    I tried the tutorial 3 times now throughout the year and I fell asleep doing it, I forced closed the game just to get out of it. Looks interesting, but I don't want to spend time in the tutorial. I learn quickly by playing the game, I don't need a hand to hold me. I only do tutorials after I get lost trying to figure it out myself and I need a quick guide on one part of the tutorial, not the whole thing.

    I agree it should of been something like a quick mini game you could do with your friends out side of the gold saucer.

    Same thing with Chocobo Racing should off been done outside of the gold saucer and without those stiff controls, that's what killed it for me.

    Same thing with duels.

    I'm glad to see criticism that so similar to my own complaints, yay. I do like it though simply for minion hoarder in me giving me additional info on newly acquired or favored minions.

    For controls, they need a way to 'save selection', like in Total War games you can save your unit selection as a platoon, and later just re-select that retinue, opposed to manually re-select them all over again (worse once they get mixed with other retinues, or spread).

    Add ranged minions for skirmishes that fire volleys, direct melee engage opposed to just moving groups near another. Crystal objectives are so ZZZ, especially when they placed identical every. single. match.

    The problem isn't that it's RTS, it's that it's RTS done poorly. FFVII Fort Condor is an improvement.

    Yes it did. Spectacularly. And someone in charge should have known it was going to happen when they were approving an hour long tutorial for a glorified mini game.
