^ pretty much this. They've always been somewhat vague on content up until patch notes are finalized and released, and for good reason. Things can change last minute. Sometimes we get a bit more information, but just because they're holding back doesn't always mean they're behind schedule.
I think the fact that we've been getting a bunch of posts on the lodestone home page as of late is a positive sign that we'll see a release date soon.
The fact that we're suddenly getting flooded with new info means, to me, that things are becoming finalized for the patch and they can now disclose that information.
Answer this question: Is it December yet? No? Well then, nothing was delayed.

I understand your concern, however, and this is only my opinion, I believe they release the info on the Lodestone after they have been tested enough to know it works and the last stages of testing one to two weeks before patch is only finding loopholes/bugs/glitches on said features/content. The abilities not having names, not-finalized recast times, MP costs can all be worked out in the last two weeks of testing, but the point of releasing the info how they did it, means they have already tested enough of all of them to know it works in solo, light and full party setup, now they only need to iron out the details.According to the roadmap to 2.0, patch 1.20 should be released, I quote, "Late November to Early December"
If the patch was to be released late nov/early december, you'd think that by now all the content would be pretty much finalised and they would be in the testing/fixing stage. However, from the information we got so far, it feels like the 1.20 content is still very much under develpoment.
The new skills information for instance felt rushed and incomplete, not even names for the abilities, missing traits, probably missing spells.
We still have 0 info on the moogle fight and 0 info on player seach/AH, the other "stars" of the patch
I hope to be wrong, but I can't see this patch happening before mid-December if lucky, unless they've just been holding back a lot of information...
Ultimately I don't care about when they release 1.20 or even about its contents, I'm happy to play whatever they give us, but I do care about the impact his can have on the release date of 2.0. Specially when they are asking us to pay a subcription fee until then, I am choosing to pay it on the basis that next October I should have the finished game, I really don't want to see that pushed back to mid-2013

We can definitely be concerned about 2.0 being delayed a bit, but remember you are paying a subscription fee not for 2.0 but for patches 1.20 ~ .21 ~ .22 ~ .23. If 2.0 is delayed in any way is of no relevance to the fees you are paying now.
Both 1.18 and 1.19 were delayed.

well truth to be told, i hope this patch is delayed for a moment... so subscription delayed!

Right now we have a pretty broad window for when .20 will hit. if we get into mid to late December, then yea we can start up the what the heck is taking so long talk.
But heck aside from .18 they have been pretty punctual with the patches. And when there is a bump back in time they have yet to fail to let us in on whats going on.

A roadmap is rough estimate, very rarely did FF11 meet its roadmap dates.
I would imagine 1.20 to hit around the middle of dec.

I would say 1.20 will be released close to the tenth. and fees resintated by 12/25. the perfect christmas gift!11!!1!!11
