Viera Should Of Happened

I don't think FFXIV's races are 'boring'. Personally I don't think bestial races are particularly interesting - they're very niche and a lot of their appeal goes to a certain demographic who overrate them or try to make them attractive when they're...not for most people. I quite like that all of FFXIV's races are distinctly humanoid and aren't completely monstrous. We just need more options for facial features and the like because I'm sure with that almost everybody will be able to find a character that they like to play and if they don't then maybe the game's aesthetic just isn't for them.

It'd be like someone wanting to play The Witcher 3 not as Geralt but something completely different. It's often a design choice in many games to limit playable options to a specific niche/theme.

I just can't understand its necessity...would anyone quit the game just because SE won't add the new race "Viera" or any other new race?

I'm disappointed we won't be getting them as well. However, I can understand the reasoning why many are against Viera being added,or want other things prioritized.

Now my take as to *why* people want Viera added. I can't speak for anyone else, but personally, I could care less about the bunny ears and tail. I don't even have that gold saucer outfit; no wish to glam my character as a playboy bunny. ;P No, for me it's about the body type. Tall and slender, but curvy as well. Do we have this in game already? Nope we sure don't. Sadly. Also, I want Frans hair.

Honestly, if they just added a third clan to the races, and this type of body for one of them, either Hyur or Elezen even, I'd be perfectly happy.

I think we should get more options for our current races first than adding any new race: more faces, body types, haircuts, muscle sliders, tatooes, etc.

No. There are way more pressing matters. Why do we need a new race every expansion? It's more important to polish and customize the races we have atm than mess up a new one. A new race does not provide more gameplay, all it is is the same classes in a new wrapping.

And your thinking we're getting more customization why?
