If the majority of the player population requests for the addition of the viera race, and if a good portion of the player base intend on playing as viera, then the addition of viera is worth considering.

First of where the hell came majority? Its not even a absolute majority in this forums, which are a echo chamber for a small portion of players

If a lot of people request it here, this means alot of people gonna play it. And as like dragonseth07 said it, its gona be only a other animal girl ear race which provides no diversity at all

Yoshida assumed the polls were heavily influenced because viera was included in one of the examples, and I agree with his assumption. I hope there will be another in-game race poll. I would suggest viera be given its own category as well. I am confident viera would win in the race polls.

Yeah, the viera that are shown in FFXII are female. However, males exist.

I dont know about this either, like again, take my example with the weapons ilvl free stuff, do you think this is worth reconsidering? I would say no


The only way i would agree that Devs should considider something of this proportion is when there would be (i dont know why mmorpg dont do this actually) a ingame pole where people would vote/suggest anything that plops up when they are logging in, like about anything, not only races


I mean the pole alone "which new race" is biased because it plants the idea of the new race at the beginning, even if their would be a option that would say no new race. And if its on the forums or like that its again very limited on meaning, see elections in the usa how even much more broader data can fail

but thats just me

According to a link someone had posted in another thread, there may be a new race in 5.0. If there is going to be a new race, it would be nice if there was a race poll.
