The reason to have so said jump lvl item is to make sure your new friend can play with you right now. Literally do the content that is fun and relevant right now and not have to wait hours upon hours for them to level up.

i say no to jump potion maybe make exp potions so we get a bit more xp for a set time that means we still have to work for what we want
But literally all you will be doing is dungeons nobody does the other stuff anymore trust me Ive tried parties for extreme primals that are old are like 30 mins to an hour to find
Players still do extreme primals, but its all unsync, no one wants to do old content sync if they dont have to.

My stance on leveling potions is simply we have no real idea yet on how they plan to implement them, I appreciate people's stance on players instant leveling to 60 and having no idea what they are doing but then again I've met plenty of players that have leveled to 60 and have no idea what they are doing.
If it's 1 potion per new character that allows alts or new players to jump to 60, like how we get 1 fantasia per alt then I don't see it being a huge issue.
If it becomes available to purchase on mogstation or if it can be used on crafters as well as combat then pay to win becomes the issue.

I didn't bother reading what other people said but I gathered this old content you speak of is pre 50 stuff. I am a casual player and have been since day 1 of 2.0
I don't have all my jobs leveled to 60 (except crafting) so once in a while I run the pre-50 stuff "old content" and I have no desire for it to be a fast jump to 50. Honestly it doesn't take that long to get to 50 anyway and I do a lot of levequests since I like to solo sometimes. I enjoy this game and I still play the old content same way I did when I started playing this game. If you do the weekly challenge log and your daylies you will get to 50 fast enough.
So it is definitely not dead to me...
Thats how I try to play but I mean the , 50 stuff, pre 50 is no issue at all, its the road to hw thats an issue like the extreme primals and stuff like thatI didn't bother reading what other people said but I gathered this old content you speak of is pre 50 stuff. I suppose it could also be different server to server - I'm always seeing shouts for farming ponies and other mats from extreme primals and such that people need for glamouring their gear or choco barding! lol
Also the cross-server duty finder works for me when I really am in the mood to do some of those dungeons...which is not often (haha)
What about your FC? should be able to rely on your FC at times like these when you can't get enough support from the rest of the world!
I'd rather them make old content not be dead anymore than take the lazy, cash grabby option.
SE used to be really good about keeping old content alive. Some people did not like going back and doing it, but it's the lesser of two evils really.
I totallly agree old content should have special mounts are new glmaour drops or something to make it worth a que for vet players, Im fairly new and i struggle to even get a que for the old stuff
