I have to agree I dont think he was referring to anyone that may have some type of Disability, are tryin to be rude to anyone in general at all.
Calm down. Try reading what he posted again when you are calm.
He neither insulted disabled nor bad players. He is merely countering those that claim leveling potions will cause more players to be bad at the game.
Context and experience are also part of people being at the "same place in the game".
Furthermore, it's partly because dead content would be a less relevant factor after the implementation of a leveling potion that some people are worried about it; at that point there'd be even less reason for SE to make it worthwhile to revisit that content — it'd be even more "dead".

The only Cons from the community perspective are arbitary honestly. I'm all for them.
People are either going to take the time to learn their job or they wont. Iv'e seen people with full 260 gear. Relic weapon and 0 understanding of how their job works. On the other side ive seen people just hitting 60 for the first time asking around for advice, reading guides and practicing.
Basically good players will still be good. Lazy/bads won't impact the community more or less than they do now.
I'm pretty sure we'll get more players because of it. =D

My greatest concern about leveling potions is that newbie players might feel pressured to use them. For leveling potions to be meaningful in this game, they would also need to skip storyline content (otherwise, what's the point of being instantly high-level, if you can't do any of the high-level stuff?). New players might not understand that by using these skip potions, they're essentially deciding to skip the first two books in the series and start right off reading the third.
There are players who could care less about the game's storyline - but there are also those that do. If their FC-mates are telling them that they should use the potion so they can get to the "good stuff" faster, only to discover that endgame is too difficult or just plain not fun for them... If endgame's no fun, and they've thrown away their chance to enjoy the story, there's not a whole lot left for this game to offer them.
From my pov, I love the novice network I enjoy helping other players and I like being able to talk with that many people at once, so I decided to become a mentor. But Ive constantly been asked ha why am I still in the novice chat after almost 4 months ha , its because I choose to take the game at my own pace but getting this question just tells me where the player base is right now. I went on a rant the other day because I did a duty finder for king moogle and the group left after to whips only less than like 15 mins. And I was told just get to the current endgame and Ive seen many other new players do just so because the pressure is already there with long ques and unsnyc old content and not have to work until u get it right. So what a potion will do is just put everybody in the game where everyone says is the place to be.
You guys act like every single time you use the duty finder you encounter a bad player, strangely I use the duty finder to run my daily roulette and I find it rare to encounter so said " bad players "

That would be your interpretation.
My point simply put is:
- Under-skilled players will exist regardless if a jump potion is added or not.
- Experienced players not willing to teach/guide will exist regardless of a jump potion.
- It is a double-edged sword, imo.
Some players on this forum strongly against a jump potion and if implemented will exaggerate the issues they feel said potion effects.
The same can be said for folks in favor of a jump potion, using other issues for their examples.
That is what I was discussing.
I agree because Ive seen many players just drop duties and its mostly experienced ones Ive hardly ever seen a newer player just leave. I dont understand if you want people to be good why not lend a hand in helping them get there. That would be your interpretation.

I was pretty sure this item was something only being considered for China and that they were undecided. It makes sense for China where many MMO players pay for internet by the hour. China's version of WoW also has differences to suit its playerbase.
Anyway, although my input means nothing, I might as well give it in a thread asking for it. I have little moral opposition to it nowadays, but what I don't get is why someone that may potentially like this game would actually use it. The game is designed around one character, so this theoretical item would almost only be used by new players. This game is about story and presentation before anything else, and by using this item you'd basically be removing a huge part of the entire reason to play and enjoy this game. On the other hand, I absolutely sympathize with wanting to just play with friends, and this item may make that a lot easier. That's why I'm mostly okay with it; whenever someone uses this item, there will likely still be more great stories in the present and future to experience as well.
