    AMD CPU

I'm helping someone get a better computer for their price range and we're looking at a computer with only AMD CPU options. I've never had an AMD processor and am unsure if there are any issues with them and the game. Is AMD FX 4300 3.80GHz Quad-Core AM3+ OEM an okay/good processor for the game to run at 60fps? The computer will have a 600w PSU and I'm giving them my old GTX 970

Sounds fine. There are, of course, many additional variables. But the CPU and GPU specified exceed the officially recommended specifications.

The FX series processors do not deal well in high-population areas and will chug pretty heavily in zones like Limsa or Idyllshire. As a previous 8320 owner and having a friend with a 6300, I can say that you'll want to turn down CPU-intensive graphic options, and chances are there will still be FPS spikes, especially if you are running anything besides the game at the same time.

i just upgrade my currently system from AMD FX6300 to i7 6700k but in fact i dont notice much diffrence ingame, something like FX6300 are totally enough for this game "HW" dunno about coming 4.0
best noticeable perfermonce up you will get (for small money) is from a SSD.
