    HQ crafted THM/CNJ weapons pointless?

    Does HQ (+1, +2, +3) crafted weapons for THM/CNJ do anything useful?

    Far as I can tell the +1,2,3 only increases the melee damage. Melee damage is great and all, but I don't melee or even just in melee range. Just curious if anyone else has noticed this or if I am wrong in my observation.

    I mean just the HQ part. Is it worth having a Horn Staff +3 vs just a Horn Staff. Does the HQ +1,2,3 affect any of the casting stats?

    You'll have a slightly easier time doing melds. That's about it.

    Aren't they planning on changing the +1, +2, +3 system? Making HQ items have more stats or something?

    and they have slightly higher durability. Not that it matters much

    This is basically how it is now. However, Yoshi-P did mention that with the upcoming patches they will work on the HQ bonuses. The HQ system is changing with 1.20 so I would definitely expect some changes to the bonuses as well.

    I've actually had lower % with double melding on HQ gear... same materia and everything.
