A Few Suggestions to Improve the UI

    • Allow the focus target pane to also show their target
    • Introduce grid snapping so that HUD customisation would be neater and quicker to do
    • Introduce ui profiles so they can be uploaded on other characters across all servers
    • Ability to change horizontal action bars to vertical and vice versa
    • Allow players to browse the crafting log while quick synthing
    • Make the ring box larger - every class uses two rings, not one. 25 slots is too small.
    • Ability to blacklist offline players
    • Ability to see when LS members and friends log in and out of the game
    • Have the chat log show which chat channel a player logging in and out belongs to
Example of a player in multiple channels logging on: Nettle Creidne [FC/LS3/Friend] has logged in
Example of a player only in one channel: Nettle Creidne [Friend] has logged in

    1. Showing the target's model alongside the focus target indicator would be too distracting.
    2. Grid snapping exists already, but the adjustment speed on the HUD layout is janky slow (at least for console players).
    3. I'm pretty sure you can copy and paste hotbars on the PC version, it just requires rooting around in the game files to do, so it's best to keep plenty of backups so you can restore if it goes awry.
    4. There are vertical hotbars already, you just can't map the cross hotbar to be vertical at this point in time.
    5. They've implemented the feature of having Eorzea time and Local/Server time together, it's in Character Customization.
    6 & 7. Valid suggestions.
    8. Classes in this game share rings based on Str, Vit, Dex, Int and Mind for the combat classes, and DoL and DoH all share their respective attributes too. If you're lacking ring box space, level your classes equally so the equipment isn't crowding your ring box, unless you're cramming glamour items in there for which case you'll have to put up with it.
    9 & 10. Valid suggestions.
    11. If they're going to add notifications to show when people come online outside of your FC, it should go in the following heirarchy: Friend > FC member > LS member. No need to be getting three (or more) notifications when your friend who is in your Free Company and your private linkshell logs on for the day.

No offense but this is your opinion. I know many players who would prefer to be able to see the target of their focus target. I would assume that if they introduce that feature you would have the option of having it on or off.

I'm on pc and there is no grid snapping. Unless it is off by default and it needs to be turned on?

This is very awkward and many who are not computer savvy would not like doing this. Never mind that this isn't even an option as a console player.

No offense, but isn't this yours too?
Because unless you polled the entire player community I could make the same claim against.
Not trying to start something but seems you are getting super snippy over a simple disagreements.

p.s. just type out your full reply, copy most of it and "edit post" to paste it back in, viola no character limit.

You can open up the crafting log while looking at your retainer's inventory; I do it all the time. Just type /craftinglog

Wow a very hidden feature, I had assumed it was impossible seeing as all the actionbars disappear when you interact with your retainer. Thanks for this.

I did not say there were no vertical hotbars...literally just asking for the option to be able to switch individual hotbars to be vertical or horizontal, instead of just being stuck with what you are given.

I shouldn't have to level my classes in a specific way just to make the armoury chest less of a headache. One of the biggest features of the game is to be able to level what you want when you want. The ringbox constantly getting full is a disservice to this feature.

You misread my examples. They are individual examples. One is a player from multiple channels logging on, the other is a player who is only on your friend list.

(Wow the character limit on forum posting is annoyingly low.)

Since you are on PC, you can open the crafting log merely by pressing the N key while not focusing on the chat log. Works with many other windows, check the keybinds menu for whick key opens which.

And if you're going to post longer messages, editing bypasses the silly low limit.
