    Hello need help machinist

    hey there!
    i just unlocked machinist and leveld it a bit on the palace of the dead, now it is level 41, and i only played on the palace of the dead with this job until floor 100 like 2-3 times, and should i keep the casting thing active everytime? i dont know if you do more damage with the casting thing or the no cast thing with normal attacks, also the turrets can i recover its health points in anyway? sometimes there are monsters that do those orange attacks and sometimes it get rekt by the mines on the floor lol
    then can someone explain me what wildfire actually do? i still dont get it lol

    I can only assume what you mean by "Casting thing" is Gauss Barrel, there are arguments to dropping it during an opener (to get an extra auto attack in) or keeping it off till you get Gauss Round. I'd personally say keep it on just so you can get used to it, since most of the time you'll keep it up.

    Recovering your turret's health is as easy as just casting it again, the old damaged one will go away and get replaced with a shiny new one.

    Wildfire is the main skill behind your opener, once you cast it 25% of any damage you do (from most skills) will start to add up and then once it's duration ends it explodes for that damage. For example lets say you cast wildfire and attack for 4000 damage during it's duration, your wildfire will then explode for another 1000 damage.     oh kk cool, I just found really nice having gauss bar off while fightin stuff like hydranoid where u have to move a lol (palace of dead)

    If you ever find a need to you can take it off to move and fire, but as you play more you'll get used to when you can and when you have to move. Also if you cross classed Feint instead of quelling strikes that can be fired while gauss barrel is up without requiring any casting.

    To add to previous discussions, in POTD Wildfire is really going to be used mostly for the boss. Most normal enemies will be going down much faster, so it is a bit of a waste.
