PotD Floor 90 Boss - What is the Mechanic?

OK, so i'm now just totally brain fuzzed on this and looking for clarity. I can't find it on youtube or bing so... i am asking here.

As i understand it, the Blue Bomb needs to be pushed under the boss to avoid wipe. The vast majority of the time, someone clueless in the party just pushes it off to the side and we either wipe or are strong enough to heal through it. The rest of times, we're so strong that we burn the boss down and avoid the mechanic altogether.

Inevitably, i have begun trying to explain this in party chat before going into fight and still sometimes someone pushes it off to the side and we wipe. -______-

On my most recent foray, someone did push the blue bomb off to the side again, but this time, unlike every other time this has happened, the wipe mechanic never went off. So now i'm just totally confused. What could have happened this time that we didn't get destroyed by the blue bomb, despite someone pushing it off to the side rather than under boss?

The boss needs to be stunned. The bomb will stun the boss when it explodes, or you can do a stun attack to stop it.

90 is just more forgiving because stun actually works on the mechanics, 190 on the otherhands, let's just say, one of the many reason why they wouldn't let matched party go that high.

Ahhh, THANK YOU! I have just got to assuming that Stun never works on bosses ... so the tank in our party must have known...

Palace of the Dead is quite the curveball. A lot of things you are used to not working in the usual content can work surprisingly well in the palace. Sleep still works on some trash mobs for example.

Trying to remember what can be stunned or not can be a pain at times though.

I don't think that attack will kill you even if you're a bit undergear. Just keep 100% health at that point.

i'm confused about the blue bomb, cause you can somehow one-shot it, and avoid the mechanic; is that what happens if you stun it?

Thank you for this...I was in this as a healer and the two dps kept dying. I couldn't figure out why, all I could figure was the grey bomb add had to die asap. Fortunately we were able to prevent a wipe!

use lust... ALWAYS....Keep blue bomb away, can stun big burst on main boss , it grows in resistance so I would save for that. Kill adds asap can also be stunned and avoid aoe's.
