The Contest for Knowledge is officially on over at Gamer Escape, and the prizes are copies of the Encyclopædia Eorzea purchased at Fan Festival 2016! There will be three winners in all, and the grand prize copy is autographed by all three authors (Banri Oda, Koji Fox, and Natsuko Ishikawa) as well as Yoshi-P himself.

The playing field favors the loremongers (and those willing to put in a little elbow grease) just a tad, as the the entry form itself is a fourteen-question lore quiz. Not too easy, not really difficult, just a little tricky. Time probably isn't a factor, right? Look around if you're unsure!

The die will be cast for all entries with the highest scores and winners selected at random.

Depending on who's giving the commentary, it's difficulty is rated all over the place; total bell curve coverage of "It was pretty easy." to "It was mercilessly hard." It's meant to be a few gimmies, a few double-checks, and a maybe two or three "Maybe I should look into this for a bit." But that's coming from someone who's been archiving all of the things since 2010, so I'm sure that as long as I'm thinking about it, I'll be torturing myself over it. All I can do is pray that who wins the prize will actually treasure it, even if statistics are against me when it comes to a contest on the internet.

There's a rogue ad that we're trying to squash on mobiles recently. Closing and refreshing, or using the desktop site, should circumvent it.

Nope this is happening on my home PC atm. Unfortunately I'm unable to take the quiz due to this.
