That one should be Garuda-Egi and not the doodle we got!...If you think FFXIV's iteration of Garuda has well endowed assets then you haven't seen FFXI's version of Garuda lol
The FFXI community nick named her J.Lo (after Jennifer Lopez) because of her very ample and distracting backend xD
I didn't find the best image of her, butt she was bootyful xD
If a bigger butt could also mean wider hips...
... I'd want it. I'd love to have my character have a more hourglass shape than what she has right now. >_> However, I'm going to guess extra padding was meant only.
Wider hips, always a plus! Not sure why you'd assume I meant only the padding?
I mean this butt comparison photo I've seen here a lot doesn't seem like it's the most honest representation.

The 1.0 photo is brighter and the character skin tones aren't the same. The 2.0 character is in a completely different stance, since her arms are down. The 1.0 butt is centered and more zoomed in. It's like everything was done to make the 1.0 butt look as good as possible, and the 2.0 butt look the opposite by the screenshotters. Gotta recreate things as accurately as possible when making these comparisons.

well I found a video where a guy runs around in a bikini soI mean this butt comparison photo I've seen here a lot doesn't seem like it's the most honest representation.

That video clearly shows how models were changed, that Miqo'te looks so much better than what we have now!...![]()
It would be very useful if 1.0 players had taken more screenshots from Miqo'te girls so we could compare them!...
I wonder if they also changed the emotes because there are some postures I simply cannot replicate, or maybe I just don't know what emote their doing, if any at all!...
About the picture above, I can easily tell that the figure in the left side has wider thighs and that should of course also mean a bigger rear so yes, even if we can't replicate the images SE took away all the good stuff from 1.0 in character models, movement physics / animations, visible equipment and more, a real shame!...
Give us back what you took away from 1.0 Square Enix!...![]()
I did a rough comparison, close as the same angle as I could... still pretty hard to make any real judgments though, the video is low quality.
*Edit To say I overlayed them up via the fingers

I get what you're comparing, but even the older model looks biggers.
Look:
*Points to thighs.* The thighs are larger than 2.0.
*Points to butt.* This is also bigger.
*Points to shoulders.* Larger still.
*Points to arm.* The elbow is easily seen sticking out more from the back as well as the upper part of the arm.
EDIT: *Points to head and fingers.* These overlap nicely at nearly the same size, even with that cap being a nuisance.
*Points to tail.* Even this overlaps nicely at the same size at the base.
All in all, the 1.0 model simply appears more built. I could understand if it were solely the buttocks being larger, but it seems the body as a whole is bigger. It seems Miqo'te were slimmed down as a whole for 2.0 onward.
