The game does need this, and devs probably know this and have a document somewhere that says "How do we implement glamour wardrobe?". Seriously, this is not something that is just "added to the game", it would be an entire overhaul to the gear system, a fundamental change to the core of the game. Give it time, it will come eventually as expansion content.

SE had to explicitly add code forbidding putting certain types of armor glamour on certain classes or levels - it was extra development effort, whose only real purpose was to make players less happy! This makes no sense at all.

...you mean that same bit of code that restricts a level 1 character from using ilvl 270 gear? That same bit of code that prevents a SCH from equipping Fending gear?
The restriction for glamour is based on what is equippable for your job, and the level restriction of the base item. How does this "not make sense at all."? Glamour doesnt really make much distinction between itself and the ability to equip the item in the first place.

And this is why lifting such restrictions would take alot more than removing or modifying some code. Glamour is very tightly bound to the gear system itself. Changing it would have quite an impact on gear itself.

And how do you or the person I replied is or not? This could turn into a huge circlejerk of denial.

I will retract my statement on if it's the SAME line of code, but denying that glamour is somehow not tied directly to gear itself is a dilusion

When you click "try on" for a weapon, it previews your character with whatever weapon you're trying to look at + whatever gear you have on. So in that window you can quite literally be in scholars artifact gear while holding a DRK's weapon. Battle stance included.

I really would question their ability to do da codez if they couldn't do something as simple as no restriction glamour...although them being unable to and them not wanting to are two different things.
