ffxv bonus items?

Well I wont be one of those players, read how the story progresses and the fact its an on rails game again as i understand it. Still no clue about actual gameplay.

Unlikely. FFXV is a console exclusive. Sounds kinda silly to put console exclusive bonus items as a reward for a game also operating on PC. If it was a PS4/PC game, then yes, but since it's not I highly doubt it.

We might get an ingame event instead.

Day 1 copies of FFXIII came with a bonus item for FFXIV even though (at the time) 13 was PS3 exclusive. You can argue that the management team of FFXIV has changed since 1.0, but the move itself isn't without precedent.

No? The game is quite open world. And a pretty vast one about that.
The game's director has commented on it shifting towards more linear when approaching the climax though, maybe that's what you're thinking about?
