    Tank Melds

Ok so I've been searching for advice and u set standing to determine what material melds to place into my armour

As warrior I know all accessories get strength

But the armour I don't know , and on inspecting other players, I've seen everything from skill speed , accuracy, det and crit hit, at this moment I have det in most pieces but think I need to swap this out for crit
However I'd prefer to know what's best or atleast understand what and how it works to make an informed choice

    Help

for Warrior follow this Stat Priority order:

    (After Achieving the VIt/Str/Acc etc.)

Critical Hit > Skill Speed > Determination

Basically where you cannot get any Crit in, go with SS

First priority is getting to the Accuracy cap for the content you plan on tackling.

After that you want to get enough SkS to get 9 GCDs in Berserk - this largely depends on your latency, though it's important to note that having over the amount needed isn't a detriment as long as it's not costing you Crit. Personally I can hit it around 490, but it's best to test for yourself what your cut off point is.

Speaking of, once you reach this magic number, you'll want to stack Crit. It's the most valuable DPS secondary as it not only increases Crit rate but also Crit damage. This, coupled with all the crit you get from Abandon stacks and the minor boost from Internal Release will make you a Crit machine. This is especially valuable on hard hitting attacks like Fell Cleave, Decimate, Overpower, etc.

After that it's Det and extra SkS. It's important to note that while Determination is weighted higher than SkS point for point you'll get more out of a SkS4 than a Det4 due to SkS having extra points. Excess SkS also gives you more leg room to get the full 9 GCD berserk window since often you'll get slightly interrupted and that can cost you a valuable GCD. There are other situations like this outside of Berserk, where having that extra GCD would've been really valuable before the boss jumps, so I'd personally recommend SkS over Det. However it is down to personal preference.

    Short answer:
Get Accuracy to 700ish, get SkS high enough to hit 9x gcd during berserk (550+, dependant on latency, you'll have to test yourself to find the right number)

Crit on any pieces that aren't capped, Det if Crit is capped on the gear already.

SS is only more valuable until you hit the 9 gcd berserk, after that it's less valuable than det.

I suggest checking out Dervy does Theorycrafting for a better understanding of how stats work, and you can use Ariyala's Final Fantasy XIV Toolkit for planning your gear and melds.

Well, if youu really belive those Det Vs: SS things. Hours of testing yes or now they are never 100% accurate. It is a nice Guideline to Follow but thats it pretty much.

I personally belive that SS benefits WAR more in many Situations which is why i prefer it over Det even if it happens to me more then the bare minimum u need for Your berserk. Im not saying u should not get Det at all btw. .

Unfortuante the current BiS does nto really have alot of SS so the max u can gain is i belive liek 48 points with SS V melds.. which gives u around 560ish SS i belive.. #Sadface D:

Skill Speed only works in tiers of 60 points. (The tooltip will show every point effecting the GCD, but it doesnt actually effect the GCD.)
Every 60 points is a 1% decrease on the GCD.
So you'll want to keep this in mind.
