Should have played 1.0 I guess? It was clear before 2.0 ever launched that you would not be able to get any 1.xx related titles after. Why 4 years later is such a complaint being made?

Minion collectors should be climbing in Feast right now then, instead of complaining. But hey, they don't have to now, because SE is amazing and listens to their playerbase.

So I'm going to use this thread to reach out to SE and convince them that 1.0 rewards should come back. Is that so wrong?

I'm a mount collector but I know that I'll never have the legacy Chocobo or the carpet goobbue. And you know what? I'm okay with that because I didn't play 1.0. Let the legacy people have their exclusive things. Next thing you're gonna say is that it's unfair that some people don't have the Cait Sith minion or Moogle cap right?

This has been done before yet there was no change.

I dunno. Personally I believe the 1.0 stuff are exclusive to honor the people that played the game even though it was a trainwreck.
People knew the game would close down to be rebuilt, but they got an offer. If people stayed subbed for 3 months (can't remember if it was the 3 last months or just 3 in total after a set date) they would be memorized (iirc in the first ARR end credits a bunch of names were listed. Players from 1.0 that played till the end) and get extra perks to honor their loyalty.
So basicly, if they made the stuff public for everyone it would be dissrespectful to the players and to SE that made the offer.
but, time changes so who knows?

The general thrust and sentiment of entitlement behind it is wrong, yes.

You chose not to participate in 1.0 so you didn't get 1.0 rewards. That was your choice. But, based on the quoted text, I understand you won't hear such things. So go forth and with your begging and skullduggery.

You know somewhere out there someone else bought a winning lotto ticket that you didn't. Perhaps you should go tell them how you're entitled to their winnings.

*Note what you've described as amazing about SE doesn't make them amazing, but rather weak willed and disingenuous. Good show for those being qualities you value.

I would love to add more time sensitive event things to the cash shop, too! Lets just make it all available to everyone. No need to feel proud for the rewards you have when everyone can get it.

I'm sorry your collection will remain incomplete, but it is what it is. Legacy players got to keep those titles and items as a thank you from SE for remaining steadfast and loyal to a game that was essentially crap at the time. Something that I doubt the majority of 2.0 players would have done. (I'm a 2.0 player btw, and I doubt I would have stuck around in 1.0 either). Frankly, this is the first I'm hearing about legacy items and titles at all. Which makes me wonder, like others, why this wasn't asked for sooner. It's a bit late to be asking for legacy items when we're on the verge of 4.0.

I believe that I am correct in saying that some legacy items (seems to be a small number of them) are available in the loot tables for retainer ventures...
