Anything BUT viera race, PLZ show your support

I would prefer to have something other than Viera.

Viera is just an Au Ra with long ears instead of Horns.
We can have much more creative races!

Why does everything have to be a repeat from something in the past.
I am a fan of the old games as well, but we have to move forward!

Maybe a tough race with a belly! (like a Zang Fei)
or a beast race (lots of people want that)
how about a robot or rock person race (at least its new)

I'd love to see something where the women are fierce and not cutesy and small. I get that cutesy and small is what's popular but I'm tired of it personally. We have enough races that fit that bill when it comes down to the women. Not that I'd switch to a new race anyway because forever FemRoe but I'd really love to see more fierce ladies!

The devs went in the right direction hands down with aura males. If you keep at a distance, you can easily tell its one. Same thing with Roe males...easily identifiable frame. On other hand, Miqos, Aura, and Hyur females, from the front at a glance all look the same. Tiny frame.

Before I say another word, me is not trying to knock Miqos or Aura (Obviously, theyre the most popular since many people like the cute/perky/girlish type, regardless location and Ive seen combinations that made my eyes pop.) Its just that, with a Viera..or w/e direction they decide to go in, ya...would love to see a female type that'd innitially make me wanna run behind a tree in fear...then peak out and say "..Oh my.. O_O <3"

For example, just to give a visual...take the 'male' aura body frame...widen out the hips, give breasts, and say..a highlander Hyur female face. Something that doesnt say "Im cute, but Im sure working on the firece part! Yeaaaah~ <3" but actually LOOKS the part. Bad as this is gonna sound..I wanna female frame the likes of which I can take a wack at with a sledge hammer, and insteada breaking into a million glass pieces, she merely shakes it off then returns the favor. Roe females currently play that role to an extent, but many of the requests here, regardless of frame type, are for something more on the imaginative side so..with horns, tails, hell...demon wings (though the servers'll explode if we ask for wing animation ya ya)

I actually DO want a Viera race, simply because I love the concept of a sexy race, m or f, with luscious, furry, bushy, tall, proud bunny ears!...but I still agree with what the OP is saying. The devs have been playing it safe with the designs to suite the general public and itd just be nice to see em shatter that mold (I again point to au ra males to show they CAN if they want to) Some ideas:

Male/female succabus race. -The elezeen drk knew he should finish the voidsent beast, but..something seemed different about this one...* Even if just a walking version.

Giga-kin -The dark magics flowing from the sealed tower of the Ancients began to have a strange effect on the local Giga/Ascetis giants..Reducing the size of some males..and altering others altogether. (and no, this wasnt because I stumbled across Nezumi's Ogre chick >_>, don't google that stuff.)

Wolfen -The stalwart Fenrir pup had fought valiantly for the wounded blackmage, her fangs and claws glistening with the fell voidscent's blood. As such, before he passed, he saw fit to make her the recipient of a most forbidden magic. . .(yes, we have Seawolfs, but the furry in me wants...fur...and a tail! ..and claws.)

Stormhoof- A ram/bulltype race residing on the vast Summerford plains. (Won't add bovine..unless the boobie sliders go up to 200, some things just dont work)...and no, I dont mean another cutsie goat-type Miqo version...I mean a raging female bull complete with the horns and muscles! ^_~

Anyways, just a few ideas, none of which will probably ever see the light due to the endless schoolgirl complex (ZzzZzz) but hey..fun to dream.

Edit: I think the only race/gender I can't see as being fierce are fem roes and Midlander males.

Personally I want to see more beasty races or non-humans.
I was so glad when they showed the Au'Ra concepts when they looked like dragon people. But what we got was some deformed Elezen with skin conditions and horns/tail. (not really, but not too far off either).
Something new and refreshing would be great. Just picking a human (short, tall, fat, skinny, whatever) and adding some ears/tail has already been done twice now.

No. I would love Viera. I want something tall, fierce, and sexy while still being aesthetically pleasing. Which doesn't necessarily have to be Viera, but Viera fits that bill perfectly.

I wouldn't complain about a big unique looking race or another small race, perhaps something completely beastie but lalafell sized so they can share similar models (for the sake of not resulting in fewer glamour or gear choices per patch.). But I want a tall pretty one because that's what I'd play.
